Kilworthfox Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 Explain? Oh we need a new keeper and right back for cover whilst we are at it
Thracian Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 I am going to say in the face of all the facts! I think we will lose this game! <_< Also I would like to say the Fryatt is not good enough and King needs to be dropped for a players who can tackle. We need some pace or someone who can read the lay-offs that Howard wins. I think you've got it on you.
CKB Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 Tonight we lost 2-0 against rotheram, rotheram for fooks sake . Yes because we are the MIGHTY Leicester City, haven't you had any reality check yet? didn't relegation wake you up? do you still live in the 96/2000 era? Only certain teams have devine rights to beat teams, remember when Chelsea lost to Barnsley? things like this do actually happen ya know? We may have played like a bag of wank tonight (ive hardly even bothered with the JPT games) and that may have added to the result tonight but i'm sorry we have no devine right to beat anyone because we ain't really that shit hot ourselfs, what do you want? we have some issues that need to be addressed no doubt but we certainly have no devine right to beat anyone no matter who they are!
BlabyFox Posted 4 November 2008 Author Posted 4 November 2008 Explain? It was extremely strange and unlike Leicester when we came from behind to win against Brighton. What's the chances of us overcoming a 2 goal deficit in the next game?

Nod.E Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 It was extremely strange and unlike Leicester when we came from behind to win against Brighton. What's the chances of us overcoming a 2 goal deficit in the next game? About exactly the same, actually. The events are not related - and the probability is the same for each game. Sorry to be a Stats A level Probability nerd, but actually it's common sence - I just assumed you had it. We've played like ''a bag of wank'' for the past 3/4 games. So have Arsenal.

whitlock Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 settle down. Im gutted we lost tonight but Rotherham are a good team albeit in League 2, without the points deduction im sure they would be playoffs or higher. Pearson isnt a god, he's not a miracle worker and he's done a pretty damn good job so far if you ask me. Just some people reaslise we're not going to win every game, we're not going to play the most attactive football in the world, we're in league 1! just keep the faith with the boys and also with Pearson.

Nod.E Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 So Lord help me I'm a 13 year old kid I knew that at 13. I'm only 16. It isn't rocket science.

Sensible post imo! There maybe a time when we all get very concerned but i just don't think it's the time yet and hopefully it won't get to the time.. Yes there's some problems to be addressed and this is probably a cruicial time for Pearson to maybe show just what he has but at the moment and this is just my thinking i'm not panicing yet, another 4 iffy results and i may worry abit more then..but after 4 performances which ain't been that great how can people be going all mental? we are still 5th! one win from maybe going top?
nickm Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 Does this poor run of form coincide with the return of Kisnorbo? well at least i'm not the only one to suggest it-yes i think when kisnorbo plays, the complete shape of the team changes-get him sold, we were fine when he was injured!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 Because they've been rumbled. They were playing above themselves and caught teams off guard. When all's said and done this squad ain't that good really. The lack of pace and movement up front make the team one dimensional in my opinion. Fryatt's goals have just painted over the cracks. Have you ever, ever thought of prozac?
leicesterseddon Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 it's the midfield. king and oakley will not get us out of this division. we're in a pretty reasonable position given a win at home to yeovil will send us top and we need to stick with NP. but this midfield is really starting to worry me now. and i was moaning about it when we were playing very well at the start of the season! i don't see what can be done before january, given that clemence is still miles off (although no one at the club really knows themselves). if we don't invest in the midfield in jan, things could go pear-shaped. mark my words.

I love it. King and Oakley won't get us out of this division! One win takes us top and King/Oakley have been close to ever present! Our drop in form and points collected has coincided with various things, none of which have anything of importance to do with King/Oakley. In no particular order of importance they are: 1) The lack of fit, effective cover for various players and positions as we hit a busy part of the fixtures list. That King/Oakley were playing tonight only emphasises the problems. The same too with Fryatt/Howard. 2) Gilbert's injury, for its effect on the defence, the functioning of our attack and as an out ball for our central midfielders. 3) Kisnorbo's return. His poor distribution is well known and it cannot be coincidence that a truly tight defence has suddenly started conceding goals. 4) The deployment of Hobbs in a foreign land at right-back. 5) Gradel's indifferent form due, in part, to the lack of support and runners around him. 6) Howard's pedestrian pace and continued lack of goals for one reason or another. 7) Collective loss of confidence as the bad results increase and the crowd voices it's anger or reaction. 8) The lack of a plan B as word gets around about how best to deal with us. 9) The continued absence of Levi Porter and his ability to bring other players into a game and to help with goalscoring/goal creation. 10) The absence of a rock-steady goalkeeper like Fulop.

Fair points i think. Apart from possibly point 9 I happen to think you talk a lot of sense Thrac but draw criticism because of your persistent backing of certain players, King and Porter are the obvious examples. It seems people skim through your posts looking for a reference to one or both in order to have a dig, rather than properly reading the point(s) that you are trying to make. I know ive just done exactly that in a sense but i suppose its rubbed off on me! I happen to think that King, for a youngster, has done a very good job so far in difficult circumstances but needs to have the odd game rest which isnt possible at the moment because of lack of cover. Porter however is still a bit of an unknown quantity and i do think sometimes you maybe give him more credit (in terms of his ability) than he has earnt in his so far very short career.

Judging by tonight's result, a poor defeat against a fourth-division team who didn't have to extend themselves, I'd say things are going pear-shaped NOW. Oakley is no longer a promotion-winning captain, and I'll get a game in the Premier League before King does.
Vestan Pance Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 Does this poor run of form coincide with the return of Kisnorbo? No. It started against Walsall where we conceded 2 terrible goals before he came onto the pitch. Teams are forcing us to play narrow exploiting our dire midfield, where as before Oakley and King had more time in posession. NP needs the funds to get the right players in on loan. I've every confidence he's still picking his strongest team, that's all he can do at the moment. We need to act quick, 1 scraped win (against Bristol Rovers) in 6 won't get us promoted.
