somebum Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 I have always thought of Roeder as pretty useless, what do you think? Definately a near miss for city?
Anish Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 I've always thought of him being the perfect caretaker manager, but a rubbish permanent manager. He somehow lifts a team/squad when the previous manager has been sacked, wins a few games and plays good football in the process, and then when he gets the full-time post it all goes pear shaped. Look at what he did at West Ham and Newcastle, and now he's doing the same at Norwich.
Legend_in_blue Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 He's useless. He's showing how useless he is now at Norwich. And he bores me. He'd look a lot better in a labcoat.
Thracian Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 Good management requires all sorts of abilities but one of the most important is to be inspiring when it's needed. There's not just the one way of being inspiring - Shankly, Wenger, Ferguson, Scolari and Benitez are/were not the same characters by any means - but they each had/have a presence. A presence Roeder seems to lack. I can imagine the bloke as quite articulate and sounding reasonably knowledgeable but he's never struck me as being particularly astute tactically. Mind you, he's by no means alone in that.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 Nice bloke (probably). Crap manager. Must be introducing Delia to some new recipes or he would have been given the boot by now.
Lovejoy Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 My dad's mate is the spitting image of Glenn Roeder .
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 Second season syndrome encapsulated within a single living being. I'm amazed Norwich aren't in the bottom three.
Kilworthfox Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 I have always thought of Roeder as pretty useless, what do you think?Definately a near miss for city? Not a bad bloke IMO, but thank god he never came to us.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 did he nearly come to us then????? wasnt aware of that
Alexikokopops Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 He comes across as the most boring man in the world.
Durnerz Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 He comes across as the most boring man in the world. No that title belongs to Howard Wilkinson!
Darkzzz_ Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 I don't hate him as much as I hate, dare I say it, David Pleat. I only started hating Rodent when he caused a bit of trouble against us last season.
