So the fuel-adjusted grid for the Nurburgring this weekend, with predicted first pit stop laps, looks like this:

1 Mark Webber (lap 20)

2 Sebastian Vettel +0.250secs (lap 19)

3 Lewis Hamilton +0.614 (lap 18)

4 Rubens Barrichello +0.617 (lap 14)

5 Jenson Button +0.838 (lap 13)

6 Adrian Sutil +1.474 (lap 28)

7 Heikki Kovalainen +1.524 (lap 21)

8 Felipe Massa +1.906 (lap 25)

9 Kimi Raikkonen +2.025 (lap 26)

10 Nelson Piquet +2.048 (lap 26

Mclaren are genuinely quick & Brawn are struggling again.

Very interesting words from Barrichello there on the Brawn team...

Congrats to Webber. Quality drive, well deserved and I really hope Red Bull put up a fight.

And Massa :D...first podium. Brilliant drive.

Force India > Ferrari > Ferrari lol

Oh, and in the championship....Ferrari > Ferrari > McLaren > McLaren. lol

Massa's actually 5th now. Very decent considering the poor start.

What did Barrichello say?

Rubens Barrichello angrily accused his own Brawn GP team of costing him victory at the German Grand Prix.

The Brazilian led in the first part of the race and held the team responsible for him eventually finishing sixth.

"It was a good show from the team of how to lose a race," he said. "I did all I had to do, I was first to the first corner. They made me lose it."

Brawn boss Ross Brawn was unmoved, saying: "When he looks at the facts, he'll realise we weren't quick enough."

Veteran Barrichello is still looking for his first win of the season, while team-mate Jenson Button has taken the chequered flag six times.

And while Button leads the drivers' championship by 21 points following his fifth place in Germany, Barrichello was leapfrogged by Red Bull drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber and now sits fourth.

Brawn opted for a two-stop strategy for Button at the Nurburgring, and three for Barrichello.

The 37-year-old's race was further disrupted by a problem with the fuel hose during his second stop.

"I feel sorry for myself and I feel sorry for the team," said the Brazilian.

"To be very honest with you I wish I could get on the plane and go home right now. I don't want to talk to anybody in the team because I don't want to understand, there will be a lot of 'blah blah blah' and I don't want to hear that.

"If this is really what is going on we are going to end up losing both championships and that would be even more terrible.

"I am not saying that the team are favouring anyone, I am just saying that it was a good show of how to lose a race today."

After the Spanish Grand Prix earlier in the season, Barrichello threatened to walk out on Brawn if he discovered they were favouring Button.

Barrichello had also led that race going into the first corner, but lost out to Button, who was switched to a two-stop strategy.

But Brawn refused to criticise Barrichello for Sunday's outburst and said he sympathised with his driver's frustration.

"Rubens has a point, in that it wasn't a great race for us. We probably tried too hard to compensate for a lack of performance.

"We tried three stops and then we had a fuel rig problem and his radio wasn't great in the race - he was struggling with it so the normal briefings from us, he wasn't getting all the information. He didn't really have a full picture of everything that was going on.

"There were no decisions to make. We fuelled him to get him in front of (Nico) Rosberg but we had a problem with the fuel rig. Those things happen. It was unfortunate and he's very frustrated.

"It's a passion some drivers have. But I want to look at exactly what he said and be clear he understands now what happened.

"I think when he sits down and looks at the numbers he'll realise we were too slow to win the race. We just weren't quick enough. Now he has the facts and he understands what happened, he's fine.

"Rubens had the 11th fastest time of the race, you can't win a race with that speed. The problem we have is to get quicker. We have to respond because if we don't we'll throw the championship away."

Brawn said he would listen to Barrichello's interview again before deciding whether to take the matter further.

"I'll understand the whole situation first. I want to understand the whole picture, what he thought, what he said and we will then deal with it internally.

"Rubens has been a very important member of the team and he has stuck with us through very some difficult times, he has a lot of loyalty to the team and that is not something you destroy with a few frustrated words after a race."

Reaction to Barrichello's comments

Speaking on the BBC's F1 forum after the race, Williams boss Frank Williams described Barrichello's outburst as "a bit of a red card job" but he said it would not be enough for him to sack a driver.

"It's a very unusual thing for a driver to say," he said.

"In his defence, he was very hot and bothered, having just stepped out of the car and maybe his judgement deserted him for a few moments.

"I would swallow my pride, have a wee word and try to make him think differently - but it couldn't be tolerated again.

"He'd certainly get a severe dressing down, but that's all."

Barichello should never have lost that race. Rosberg did a brilliant job. Sutill was seriously unlucky, could have been on the podium. I can't see Button losing a 21 point lead in the title race.

The son of motorsport legend John Surtees has been killed in a "freak" accident during a Formula Two (F2) race at Brands Hatch in Kent.

Henry Surtees, 18, was flown to the Royal London Hospital after he was struck by a wheel which flew off Jack Clarke's car.

His father, John, who won the Formula One World Championship in 1964, said Henry would be "deeply missed".

"Henry had followed his heart from the time he first sat in a kart," he added.

Mr Surtees, of Surrey, who is the only man ever to have been world champion on two wheels as well as four, said: "He treated seriously the balance between motorsport and school, having just finished his A-levels.

"The world beckoned and he was thriving on the freedom to concentrate on his motorsport.

"Despite bad luck in his motorsport, he had shown himself to be one with the possibilities of reaching the very top."

He added: "Despite his young age he had shown maturity, technical understanding and speed.

"Most importantly he was a nice person and a loving son. He will be deeply missed."

Sunday's race was red-flagged while Surtees was removed from the scene.

The accident happened between the circuit's Westfield Bend and Sheene Curve.

Clarke's car hit a tyre wall and a wheel came off, hitting Henry Surtees on the head and knocking him unconscious.

The teenager's car then struck the trackside barriers.

A spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said Surtees had been taken from the scene by helicopter.

On Saturday, he had claimed his first F2 podium finish, coming third in the opening race of the Brands Hatch weekend.

World Touring Car driver Andy Priaulx, who was at the Kent race circuit on Sunday, said: "Our sport can be cruel, but never crueller than when it claims a life. It is a tragedy when this happens and yesterday we witnessed this at Brands Hatch.

"Henry Surtees was a fine young man on the verge of his career in the sport, who I had the pleasure to tutor when he was racing in Formula BMW.

"His death highlights the dangers that we face."

He added: "My heart goes out to his parents, Jane and John Surtees. John is one of my motor racing heroes who has achieved so much over his life in the sport.

"As a driver and also a father of a son who may one day want to follow my footsteps into the sport, it is hard to imagine coming to terms with such a loss."

David Croft, the BBC's Radio 5 Live motorsport correspondent, said it was "a freak, deeply tragic and horrible accident that can happen in what is a dangerous sport".

He said: "A few hundredths of a second later, Henry Surtees would have been fine.

"Sadly, he was coming up to the tyre right at the moment it bounced into the air.

"He was very much an up-and-coming star. Good things were expected of him."

No-one from Brands Hatch was available for comment.

Sad news, I've seen him race a few times. His dad survived the most dangerous era of F1 and Motorcycle racing and Henry gets killed in a freak accident like that
