AjcW Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 I agree with you, I think vettel is amazing. Obviously ive always supported Jenson because he's English but I put money on vettel this season, good on red bull and brawn for making f1 exciting again.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Brawn will be delighted that Vettel is stuck up behind Massa who will be very difficult to pass with his KERS. I think Button would probably have settled for that even though he's dropped a place.
lavrentis Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Its always nice to hear God Save The Queen. Well done Button.
Asha Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Frustrating, fell away so quickly. Was on for 2nd there. Button's running away with it.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Another quality drive from Button, strategy favoured him and of course he's got a great car but you still have to get round the 60 odd laps driving flawlessly which he did. He was simply the best on the notorious hard tyres. Go on Jenson! Hamilton is getting slightly annoying now in these interviews. Yes it's not going at all well but, for crying out loud he sounds like he wants to top himself.
Brainy Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 I just watched the "On board with the pole sitter" feature on bbc.... Button is such a technically sound driver, it made me remember a conversation I had with a fellow f1 fan were I told him how I refuse to support lewis hamilton as he is in my opinion "All about the car" were-as button is good enough to make an average car great. You what? Does this mean you're calling Brawn's car 'average'? And if you're saying that Hamilton isn't good enough to get results in an average car shows you haven't watched any races this season. He's finished in the points in all but one, and that was ninth place. Obviously ive always supported Jenson because he's English Sutil is a complete idiot. There was no need to use the run off area at turn one. 1.12
Asha Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Hamilton is still doing a relatively decent job with a shit car. From his interviews you can tell that the controversy of Australia is possibly still affecting him. He seems desperate to have a perfect reputation, whereas someone like Schumacher couldn't care less about his reputation and dealt with the controversy a little better.
Brainy Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Perhaps he saw pictures of that racist **** before the race.
City_4_Life Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Breaking news on SSN saying Ferrari have pulled out of next years championship.
StanSP Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Breaking news on SSN saying Ferrari have pulled out of next years championship. Breaking news on BBC. They'll pull out of F1 IF the new budget cap is adopted.
Asha Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Would be horrific if this happened. Almost as bad as if Leicester quit the football league. I certainly wouldn't watch F1 without Ferrari.
Sparky Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Sky sports news word for word Breaking news Ferrari pull out of next years formula 1 championship
hairy Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 It wont happen. They will get their way. Why they cant just reduce their spending I dont know.
Asha Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I think they're calling Mosley's bluff in truth, after he said the sport would survive would survive without them. It would, but it would be a tenth of the sport it is now.
Wycombe Fox Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12433_5317968,00.html Ferrari have announced that they will quit Formula One at the end of the 2009 season if a budget cap is introduced. In an effort to cut costs in the sport, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) are planning to limit the amount teams can spend from 2010 onwards. The proposal would mean those capped teams competing would be able to operate with far greater technical freedom than those with unlimited budgets. Ferrari's board of directors met on Tuesday and decided that the team, who are the oldest and most successful in the sport, should no longer participate in F1. "No F1 in 2010 if the rules do not change. Ferrari confirms its opposition to the new rules imposed by FIA and does not intend to register cars for the 2010 F1 world championship," a Ferrari statement said. more to follow...
billyfox1 Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I'm not allowed to buy the title so I'm not playing anymore. Wankers (Not that they're doing a very good job this year)
dandannieldanok Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I think F1 would struggle without Ferrari, there would certainly a dwindling of spectator numbers.
Ultra Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Only in Italy. The rest of the world wouldn't be that bothered. It's no worse than having a premier league without Manyoo.
StanSP Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/8048112.stm Renault the latest to team to issue ultimatum re: £40m budget cap.
Asha Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Only in Italy. The rest of the world wouldn't be that bothered. It's no worse than having a premier league without Manyoo. But with Red Bull, Toyota and Renault pulling out too? Would ruin the sport.
