Legend_in_blue Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 2010 calendar March 14- Bahrain (Sakhir) March 28- Australia (Melbourne) April 4- Malaysia (Sepang) April 25- Turkey (Istanbul) May 9- Spain (Barcelona) May 23- Monaco (Monte Carlo) June 6- Canada (Montreal) June 27- Europe (Valencia) July 11- Great Britain (Donington Park) July 25- Germany (Hockenheim) August 1- Hungary (Budapest) August 22- Belgium (Spa-Francorchamps) September 5- Italy (Monza) September 19- China (Shanghai) September 26- Singapore (Singapore) October 10- Japan (Suzuka) October 24- Brazil (Interlagos) November 7- Abu Dhabi (Yas Marina) I'm looking at going back to Montreal next season This. It may be hell tyring to get in and out of the place, but it'll be worth it. it goes ahead as planned.
Asha Posted 6 September 2009 Posted 6 September 2009 I've always found Bahrain to be a pretty boring racetrack. The Australian GP is usually a decent season opener, so I can't see the logic there.
Brainy Posted 6 September 2009 Posted 6 September 2009 There is logic. European audiences, but its still sucks.
isaidno Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 Britain, China & Canada are provisional . Donington has the name rights to the British Gp so if it isn't ready Silverstone will host the European Gp and Valencia will be renamed the mediterranean GP.
isaidno Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 I got an invite yesterday to marshall the 2010 Australian GP, but I'm not going next year.
dogadug Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I got an invite yesterday to marshall the 2010 Australian GP, but I'm not going next year. I'll take your place if you want
isaidno Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 why? It's a long way to go and I have to pay for my own flights and accomodation. I want to go back to the Canadian Gp instead. it's nearer , cheaper and Montreal is a better track.
Asha Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Was watching the onboard cams on BBC red button and was watching Hamilton when he binned a podium just then.
lou Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 at the random groupie who interrupted Sutils live TV interview... Eddie Jordans face was a picture.
Brainy Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Well he's a better driver than anybody at Ferrari so.
StanSP Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Well he's a better driver than anybody at Ferrari so. Not as the rankings show. And he's a bit of an idiot for pushing for second when third would have sufficed. There was no need and no way LH was ever gonna catch Button, not that late into the race. His own fault for throwing away some valuable points.
FilboFox Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Good race from Button today... shame he lost out to Barichello but never mind, at least the Red Bulls are now miles behind.

Dont agree with that at all, its a race, if they dont want to finish in the best position possible then they shouldnt be driving. At least he was making a race of it, it would be very boring if they all just followed eachother round the track.

That late on in the race, why would you risk a good position for a position which was unrealistic? Maybe if there were more laps in the race, then yeah I wouldn't have blamed him for pushing on and trying to catch Button. However, on last lap of the race, and not looking at all likely to catch Button, there was no point.

It was of absolutely no gain to him anyway as it's not even like he's in the running for the Championship.

So you're suggesting that Button/Rosberg and co. are better than Alonso & Hamilton? Im pretty sure there was quite a bit of traffic just ahead of Button on the final lap. If that proved to be unkind to Button then Hamilton stood a chance. Hamilton used that kerb for the whole race and had no problems. also if everybody had the mindset of 'settling for x when only one second behind the guy in front with one lap to go' I wouldn't bother watching. I remember people moaning last year when Hamilton settled for 3rd behind Rosberg in Singapore. He was in a title fight at the time, this time why not go for it? I'm sure he wants to be part of this years title fight some way or another.

As I said, if it was earlier on in the race I wouldn't have bothered saying anything. But at the expense of being greedy and going for more unnecessarily, it's backfired and he's suffered from it.

I haven't said that he is in this years title fight, but thats the point. Because he isn't, he'll race with more freedom and push harder than usual. I'd rather him make these mistakes in a season like this. I'm not saying he always has that specific mindset am I? Im on about any driver.
dogadug Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 LH had nothing to lose, he wouldn't of been able to win the championship anyway
Asha Posted 14 September 2009 Posted 14 September 2009 Kovalainen's got no chance of keeping his seat though My guess is McLaren will re-sign Raikkonen, cause with Massa recovering and Alonso an imminent arrival, he's gonna be out of a seat.
