Asha Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Brilliant qualifying so far this morning. Definitely worth waking up early for. Does anyone else want to bin it at that corner?
isaidno Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Sutil, Barichello, Button, Buemi, Alonso, Kovalainen all have 5 place grid penalties , should make the race more interesting Due to the subsequent grid penalities, issued by the race stewards, and the number of accidents in both practice and qualifying, the grid for tomorrow’s race will look like this: Pos Driver Team 1. Vettel Red Bull-Renault 2. Trulli Toyota 3. Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 4. Heidfeld BMW-Sauber 5. Raikkonen Ferrari 6. Rosberg Williams-Toyota 7. Kubica BMW-Sauber 8. Sutil Force India-Mercedes * 9. Asha Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 That wasn't worth getting up at 6am for Aye, tell me about it.
acooling08 Posted 4 October 2009 Posted 4 October 2009 Button's done it now. And no F1 race is worth getting up at 6.00 am for, but why was this one less worth it?
StanSP Posted 7 October 2009 Posted 7 October 2009 Good for the sport and good for him Massa targets Abu Dhabi return. He's optimistic, team not so much. But at least he's seriously considering a return and back to good health so quickly. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/8294242.stm
StanSP Posted 7 October 2009 Posted 7 October 2009 And Robert Kubica is going to join Renault replacing Fernando Alonso.
hairy Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Looking forward to this weekend. Hopefully Button will seal it
Brainy Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Massa has said how he remains suspicious that Alonso knew about the race fixing lol brilliant.
Wycombe Fox Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Oh it's going to be fun all the way at Ferrari next season. From http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_new...es_art_id=39314 Ferrari was quick to act upon comments made to members of the Brazilian media ahead of this weekend's Grand Prix at Interlagos when Felipe Massa claimed that Fernando Alonso must have been fully aware of the fixing of the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.Speaking over lunch earlier in the day, and fully on the record, Massa told a group of journalists: "Alonso knew, I'm sure. It was impossible for him not know about it. I know, without a doubt, that he knew about it". According to various reports the Ferrari driver was "emphatic" to the point of being "repetitive". However, with Alonso heading to Maranello for 2010, the Italian team, keen to avoid the sort of shenanigans witnessed at McLaren in 2007, allowed Massa to clear up any misunderstandings, quoting the Brazilian as saying: "What I've said is the outcome of a hunch I've had and is not based on any concrete evidence. "The FIA World Council announced that there was no indication that Fernando may have been informed of what had happened and I respect this outcome. "Obviously I'm very disappointed about what transpired last year in Singapore: I have already said several times what I thought about it and now it's time to close that chapter and to look to the future. What is certain is that this episode will not marr in any way the relationship I'll have with Fernando when we will be teammates." No doubt, should Massa make any further negative thoughts about his future teammate and his involvement - or lack of it - in Crashgate, the Italian team will put it all down to a "bump on the head".
isaidno Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Qualifying starts at 6pm saturday , the race is 5pm Sunday. I can see Vettel winning and Button finishing out of the top 5 again, meaning it goes down to the last race.
isaidno Posted 18 October 2009 Posted 18 October 2009 Button doing his best to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
dandannieldanok Posted 18 October 2009 Posted 18 October 2009 Still think Button will do it today. I hope you're right, but I think he'll do very well to even score a single point never mind the points required to take the title.
maddog Posted 18 October 2009 Posted 18 October 2009 Would love Rubens to win today and Button getting 0 to make the last race exciting.
Brainy Posted 18 October 2009 Posted 18 October 2009 He doesn't need to score any points though really, supposing others cock up again. Barrichello hasnt been a very good starter this season too.
Wycombe Fox Posted 18 October 2009 Posted 18 October 2009 I think Rubens has been in the factory in Brackley late at night, just before they loaded the cars to Brazil, and switched Jenson's Brawn for last year's Honda 'earth' car.
