I remade Muse's Origin of Symmetry with straws and toothpicks. It's in one of the albums on the Jessops Facebook page. Nothing special in photo terms but judged on creativity and likeness. thumbsup.gifsanta.gif

Too lazy to go searching.. can you post it here? :)

No shame in that most people I tell of the place have never heard of it and I only have because a lot of my family live there. It's a little Island in the Western Isles of Scotland near Isle of Skye which is also beautiful. Main city of Lewis is Stornoway and of course Isle of Harris produces Harris Tweed (name gives it away a bit). It's a really quite remote Island in Scotland about 2 hours ferry ride away from the mainland but when you arrive you think it's a throwback to the 90's it's not very modern at all but when you actually get onto the highland roads the scenery you find is breathtaking.

The race horse? Damn thing, didn't win on the weekend for me

Photo shop special . the sky don't match the night time view . The long exposure for the city view is incompatible with the clouds which are frozen . The dogs head is out out focus to the body otherwise a very good photo . The seagulls on the wall ? I bloody well wish I had taken that it is quality great picture . PS constructive criticism from a fellow camera buff.

There is a plan to turn the old Leicester library in to an exhibition hall displaying photagraphs. Members of the public have been invited to submit their own work. See tuesdays Mercury.

A lightning strike gives a vivid backdrop to the iconic Eiffel Tower, while the Paris landmark is illuminated in vibrant blue lights. Amateur photographer Bertrand Kulik captured the shot which will appear in an exhibition titled "Lumieres celestes, lumieres des hommes", in Issy L'eveque, Burgundy. It was taken 21:02 GMT, 28 July 2008 during a storm in the French capital.

One of the newspapers ran that with the headline "Out of the Bleu" but I had nothing to do with it.

Currently in the process now of speaking to Business Advisors about going freelance as a photographer. Still a long way to go yet, plus need funding from somewhere too. It's started though, that's the main thing. I've been booked for a wedding next Valentines Day too at a waterfall in Wales. Things slowly taking shape. :D

Move somewhere arty like St Ives and open a gallery! I'd love to live in St Ives, except I'd miss my favourite football team. :(

Otherwise I'd offer to coem down and manage the business like.

I think yo have what it takes. Anyone (well, anyone with money) can buy a shedload of fancy flashbanggizmoes, but you still need an eye for a picture, which you clearly have mate. All the best!

Mate if i had the money i would be travelling all over the place with my camera, would be dream come true.

Thanks for your kind words mate, it's very much appreciated. It makes me want to accomplish it even more when i have people such as yourself, with encouraging words. Thanks again :)
