Dan Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Not just based on our previous results like saying West Brom just because we won 4-1. What in your opinion is the best away day in the country? Mine is probably Barnsley.

Fosse Boy Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Sheff Utd just because of what happened and the mood it put the LCFC vocal away supporters in Had copious amounts of fun that day. Getting a "You know we tag teamed your missus!" chant started against that fat, ginger linesman was probably the highlight of my life.
syston_fox Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Fulham - been there twice and both have been memorable. Neither have been my all time favourite individual away games but in terms of consistancy it's right up there.
Craig Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Chelsea away last year was brilliant. Not just the atmosphere and match, but in the pub before it was magic. When i entered it was full of Chelsea fans, quite intimidating. By the time i left it was packed full of Leicester fans singing. Amazing. Had a weirdly good away day at Norwich last season too, but that was nothing to do with the match really.
Tommeh Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 cheltenham and Bristol city both stand out for me as just proper days out on the train both were real 8am- 10pm days, brilliant atmospheres and we even picked up a result at both. My favourite away ground is either fulham or palace had some amazing days/nights at them two.
GLC Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 barnsley was my best away game, for reasons such as amazing atmosphere, constant standing, a little kid in front of me swearing his heart out, and i met steve walsh after the game
Asha Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Coventry away at Highfield Road the year we got promoted (2002). Won 2-1, McKinlay with a special goal and promotion to the Premiership followed a few games later.
Floating Fox Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Fulham & Palace Anything in London. Barnsley has been good both times. Bristol city was quality. Loads of great ones.
CosbehFox Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Barnsley last year was madness That game shall be remember as a cult away day. Coventry away at Highfield Road the year we got promoted (2002).Won 2-1, McKinlay with a special goal and promotion to the Premiership followed a few games later. My coat melted that day. Best awayday? Losing 4-0 at Wednesday on my birthday.
Corky Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 I've enjoyed both my trips to Colchester (1-1 last season, 1-0 this campaign).
Tilley Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Go to Barnsley in January, when we are wandering around mid table and only take 2,000, it would be shit. Barnsley has only been good because of the circumstances & the following we've took because of it.
lcfcsam1 Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Charlton away when we beat them 2-1 in the fa cup

JakeShingler Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Based on the hole day WBA not just because we won the traon journey etc.
Sparky Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 I was in this pub. It was the slug and lettuce on the corner wasnt it? Yeah me too , thought someone would start swinging when the Dennis Wise songs started
Tommeh Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Based on the hole day WBA not just because we won the traon journey etc. Did you derail da Baggies Jake?
Head Honcho Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 I've always liked the Villa away days. A smack in the chops by West Mids finest force does wonders for your sinuses. Best for me though is Orient when we got promoted in 79. In fact most of the away games around that period were something else.
Sparky Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Got too many to good away days to recall really , perhaps only Grimsby 02 and Fulham in the fa cup get a mention from this century . Villa in the late 90s was great , even if we had to run from the Birmingham fans on the way home and hide in the bookies
