knowitall Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Chris Powell has been offered a contract until the end of the season. He has agreeded to this. Radostin Kishishev will leave the club in a matter of days and not weeks. His contract will be ended by mutal consent. The trailist from Redditch was training for second week. This is now ended and he has been invited back for a third week!
whitlock Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Poor old radostin, goood professional, shame! Knowitall, could you shead any light on the Fryatt contract situation?
Daggers Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Now Uncle has been released from his cellar, how long before Tunch packs his bags and ****s off too?

knowitall Posted 4 December 2008 Author Posted 4 December 2008 Poor old radostin, goood professional, shame!Knowitall, could you shead any light on the Fryatt contract situation? Fryatt is hot at this time, big mistake for Leicester to leave it this long. He will command a bigger wage now. Still at the stage of coming to a figure. So way to early to tell which way it will go. I am sure that Fryatt's agent knows how much other clubs are willing to pay in wages. Fryatt loves it here so thats in our favour, but if we undervalue him then I think he would leave. Come January the first he can talk to other clubs. so needs to sort out before then.
Corky Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Glad to see Powell staying, shame about Kish, I feel he should have been given more of a chance by the 14 managers we've had since he joined.
knowitall Posted 4 December 2008 Author Posted 4 December 2008 how close is the trialist to signing? I dont know. It will be three weeks. Normally it only takes aweek for them to make their mind up. Dont forget they have been watching him while he played for Redditch.

But the decision was inevitable. Any news on Porter? From the outside he seems to be in the worst position of all. No loan and seemingly no hope of being involved in the team.
Vardinhio Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 That's because he's pish. Also, he has a bad attitude, my dog told me.

A shame about Kish, never really had the chance to make it here, and is a true professional. Seen him in town yesterday, and Kisnorbo.

I think he is the forgotten man. I do not see where his life is going! Kishishev lost 30% of his monies when Leicester went down. Yet he was never given a chance to help us stay up. A pay cut yet given no chance to help........ermmmmmmm how many of us would be happy with that?

davieG Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 From the Merc Powell in talks to extend contract to end of season by Steve Pumfrey Defender Chris Powell would love the opportunity to extend his stay at Leicester City until the end of the season. The 39-year-old left-back is on a six-month contract, which runs out next month, and he has held preliminary discussions with manager Nigel Pearson. He said: "We've spoken about it and, hopefully, we'll sort something out. I believe the manager is keen to keep me and I absolutely want to stay." Powell also believes he has a vital role to play at the club - even if he does not command a regular place with the continuing emergence of England starlet Joe Mattock. He said: "I'm not saying that it doesn't bother me when I'm not playing, but I recognise my role now. I'm the most senior of senior players. "I'm helping the younger players, and there are times when I have to pick up the boys with a quiet word away from the manager and the coaches." Powell believes his presence is also testing Mattock, who is only 18 but has already represented England at under-21 level. He said: "Joe is a real prospect and it's great for fans to have local lads in the team. He has all the attributes to be a top left-back and, indirectly, with me still wanting to play, it pushes him." Tomorrow, Powell comes up against one of his former clubs, Southend United, at the Walkers Stadium (2.30). Powell had six years at Roots Hall and topped a fans' poll as their "all-time cult hero." Powell said: "They were great times and (Stan) Collymore was there at the time too. "We learned how to do our best against teams that had the facilities and the resources that we lacked. We got promotion into the Championship and that was a massive achievement." Powell also gained promotions with Derby, Charlton and West Ham so knows what the pre-requisites are for Leicester. "You can see the hunger among the players and they want to improve. They want to test themselves at the next level and then the next one after that," he added. Powell says the December five-game programme will be vital to City's promotion hopes. He said: "We will need our full squad this month, especially with two games in three days at Christmas which means the recovery time will be tight."
sbfox Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 Top, top lad is Chris Powell. Sounds like he's doing a great job here.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 Knowitall- I would like to know if anyone has been sniffing around for Tunchev?

Alf Bentley Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 I only just realised that Chris Powell is still serving as PFA Chairman... He seems to be held in high esteem wherever he's been, and his mature attitude and continuing defensive solidity must make him an asset. Sign him up! lildave3 Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 Keen on Powell staying longer, love the guy. Not too bothered about Kish, just hope it has no effect on Tunchev.
knowitall Posted 5 December 2008 Author Posted 5 December 2008 Knowitall- I would like to know if anyone has been sniffing around for Tunchev? Like all top quality players there are always talk. Nothing is anywhere near a strong worry, but with Tunchev there will always be a worry. On the Chris Powell point. He is one of the nicest people in the world. You get the feeling that he would never let a friend down no matter what. He talks to you as if he has known you all his life. 100% true and honest guy.

It is so nice to have a friend who has the same background as you do. Having Kishishev here would make leicesters job easier to keep Tunchev. Please note I am in no way saying that Tunchev is even considering leaving. On the Chris Powell point. He is one of the nicest people in the world.
