Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 Care to elaborate... Westlife or Daniel Beddingfield. Everytime in Terracotta.
Alexikokopops Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 Went to the Wagamama's (sp) place earlier. Very nice. It's steady away Japanese food at a steady away price. I've got a couple of friends who lived in Japan for a year and they took me to this Japanese restaurant in Chinatown in London and it was on the money. Really small and pokey but the food was tasty.

Fox You Forest Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 * - This is one of those where the emoticon is actually deserved. Have to wipe your feet on the way out.
AoWW Posted 15 December 2008 Author Posted 15 December 2008 The Stamford and Warrington in Coalville. Like I'm dumb enough to take any suggestion of yours seriously. I think you've pulled, AOWW!!! Hmmm. Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Much appreciated.
skinnydipper Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Barceloneta (Tapas) on Queens Rd has great food ,reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere Staff of Life at Mowsley is a pub/restaurant that'does very nice food. Bit out of town but worth the trip Foxton Locks Inn is a nice setting - right on the waterside with a nice walk to be had if sobering up is required. Food is decent enough albeit not at the same standard as the two above

Little Tokyo on Braunstone Gate is quite similar to that description and the food there is superb and very cheap given the outlay paid when there.

You never know who you might find in there! Avoid all of these like the plague... Try O'Neils, Walkabout, R and D, Terrace if you want nice, clean, welcoming places... Foodwise try Homemade Handburger Co. it is awesome! The chicken satay burger is a particular fave of mine... Top this all off with a trip to Fanclub or end up in R and D for chilled beers till late. Next day visit the Badgers Sett in Cropston for a top Sunday Lunch or if you wanna stay central try Colourworks by the Canal, they serve an excellent carvery...
Ultra Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 I think you've pulled, AOWW!!! I doubt it. I was referring to another Foxestalk poster, who goes in there with his other half...

O'Neills is OK (although the nearby Globe is better), but Walkabout?? You might like bland Aussie theme bars, I'm not sure AoWW would...
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 O'Neills is OK (although the nearby Globe is better), but Walkabout?? You might like bland Aussie theme bars, I'm not sure AoWW would... She might not be drawn to a run down, smells like urine, poor excuse of a drinking establishment such as the Ale Wagon either...
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 AOWW seemed ok in the Walkabout before. Yeah, I think Ultra just believes that pubs are not really pubs unless they serve Real Ale from wooden casks....
Guest Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 Yeah, I think Ultra just believes that pubs are not really pubs unless they serve Real Ale from wooden casks.... My discerning criteria goes thus: "Does it sell vodka?" Simple.
