LeicsEagle Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Hi, I am a Palace supporter and i come in peace.I like to know what are the best seats in your away block for the fortcoming match on the 3rd of January. I like to take my 11 year old son to the match as well what I would like to know is if its normally peaceful because I am an football supporter not a trouble maker if you get my drift especially when children are present.May the best team win on the day and Merry Christmas to you all.

The best thing about a bowl is there are no bad seats the away end is in the corner but I'm sure the view is still good. Yes its peaceful just like every stadium these days.

I wouldn't go for the front 7 or 8 rows - I find it messes up the perspective by flattening the far side of the pitch, which makes it hard to work out exactly what's going on when the action's down that end. But I guess that happens at most stadiums. Other than that, take your pick. Personally, I'd always go about 2/3s up (row Y kind of area), but that's just me.
C-man Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Also, if you are at the front, you're likely to get the sun in your eyes in the first half, if we're lucky enough to have a sunny day!
LeicsEagle Posted 18 December 2008 Author Posted 18 December 2008 Thank you all for your advice regarding my questions.Im looking forward to visit your stadium and I hope it will be a good day.You have a much nicer place than our ground..Selhurst Park can do with a revamp.Anyway, I hope you guys will go up to the championship next year and if we are unlucky not to make it to the premier then I guess we will be visiting each other again.Good luck Foxes and thanks again for your help.

Sit more to the right of the block than the left... bit further away from our unruly chavs fans. Plus it's closer to our family stand.

Does David Attenborough know about you? You must be an endangered species, 'cos you seem as though you are a good sport with manners, most rare amongst football supporters nowadays! I wonder if you are a rugby union supporter by any chance? Wish someone could explain to me why rugby union crowds can intermingle & have a drink without causing trouble? If that were to happen in any football stadium there would be carnage! Anyway, lets hope we have a good game when we meet Palace, but sorry that I can't share your genourosity, I just want City to win. I think you have a great character in Neil Wharnock & if we didn't have big Nigel, I would love him as our manager. Merry Christmas & up the City!!

bluebeau Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 What!!!!!! After what he said about us??? You have to let it go over your head, the guy gets teams promoted & he gives 100%. Yes he is controversial but who cares if he's your club manager, I think the supporters love him? He's a character & there any many of them in the game, just hope the lads kick his ass when he comes here with Palace.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Personally, I'd always go about 2/3s up (row Y kind of area), but that's just me. I'm row X, I really like it at that height.

CosbehFox Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 I wonder if you are a rugby union supporter by any chance? Wish someone could explain to me why rugby union crowds can intermingle & have a drink without causing trouble? I think that's a load of codswallop. I personally think Rugger crowds are more 'bitter' and 'mardy' about defeat. It's more to do with class that it doesn't descend into fistcuffs.

I agree that it is nice to have a bit of civility from an opposition fan. Also Warnock is a bit of a character who does get teams going. As for Rugby, it depends on the area and if there is anything else for the rougher types to do. Hull has always had problems between its Rugby Union supporters; they're still at it these days :- Mirror - Hull Rugby Riot

Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Selhurst Park will forever hold a small piece of my heart.
Dan Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 What!!!!!! After what he said about us??? I don't care who we have playing for us just as long as they have the right footballing attitude an are good use to the team. I'd have him as manager if Pearson wasn't here, i'd also take Joey Barton, Lee Hendrie etc. all the troublemakers you can think of, just as long as they're good footballers.
ASH17LCFC Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Selhurst Park will forever hold a small piece of my heart. Why did you go to the Semi final in 97 aswell ?
Fox in a Box Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 Dont bother turning up. remember wembo ...claridge.
LeicsEagle Posted 19 December 2008 Author Posted 19 December 2008 Oh Wow,I had no idea that my personality was so unusual amongst football supporters.I have been a palace supporter for a long long time but I do know that many do dislike other fans from football teams but lets be honest folks after all we are all adults(well lets hope so)... and it doesn't matter who you support as long as you can be fair and square.Im not a trouble maker and never have been maybe its my age or maturity .I go to football to see a good match first and foremost. I admire many football teams the way they play but im not a glory hunter unlike many who jump on the bandwagon especially in the premier..walking around with big team replica shirts on and never even inside the stadium to watch a match..armchair sky supporters i think they call them. One season they support one big team and following year the next one that plays well. Palace under Neil Warnock is doing fine..of course he isnt everyone's favourite but neither is our chairman. You guys are doing well and i do think that you will get promotion next year..you got a good manager and the team is playing very well. Of course you would like to win against us on the 3rd Jan and i don't blame you I always say if you play well and you deserve to win because you played better on the day then why not. Well good luck to you..come on you foxes...if you can beat the red and blue army on the 3rd Jan then why not.As long as we can get promotion to the premier league next year .Good luck this weekend and thanks again. All the best,LeicsEagle.
