Matt Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Half-Time. Arsenal 1 - 1 Liverpool Robin Van Persie/Robbie Keane. Fabregas looks like he has picked up an injury in the last tackle of the first half, "Open up of the knee joint in" in the words of Andy Gray. C'Mon Liverpool! Interactive management by Benitez, aswell, from his hospital bed/home on the phone managing.
lildave3 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Two quality finishes, pretty good match so far. First half flew by.
Matt Posted 21 December 2008 Author Posted 21 December 2008 wats the score now ? Still 1-1. Fabregas been took off, Almunia now captain. They said something about medial knee ligaments I think for Fabregas, but nothing confirmed.
Simi Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Correct decision from Webb, foot was over the ball and was some intent there.
Brainy Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Whether there was intent or not, Arbeloa is a complete twat for going over like he had been shot.
Matt Posted 21 December 2008 Author Posted 21 December 2008 Same old Arsenal things not going their way and they go mardy throw the toys out the pram, make bad tackles. C'mon Liverpool, Do this in style - A last minute winner, please! (And hopefully it will be a clear offside goal, which the referee lets go )
Darkzzz_ Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Personally didn't see that is a sending off. If there was any maliciousness in that then fair enough but Adebayor was trying to use his body. I don't even like Arsenal but some decisions now a days in football are beyond belief.
Corky Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Correct decision from Webb, foot was over the ball and was some intent there. Agreed, the challenge was worthy of a yellow card. Studs up, over the ball and he swung his arm at Arbeloa.
Fox You Forest Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 He put his foot over the ball to protect it same reason for his arm being up, That's the way i saw it anyway.
lildave3 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I thought they were both bookings, no doubt in my mind. God I hate Arsenal.
lildave3 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 **** OFF ARSENE! 'If Adebayor had to go then Keane had to go' What a load of nonsense, Keane got his booking (even though I thought he got the ball) and then didn't do it again. Adebayor did it the first time, got his booking, then did it again!

Matt Posted 21 December 2008 Author Posted 21 December 2008 Arsene's been teaching his players well, really getting into his players head. Van Persie was asked what his view was on the sending off, his reply? "I can't really say much, I didn't see it" Wenger surprisingly did see the tackle for the sending off.
Father Ted Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I don't understand all this Arsenal hate?? Liverpool are the bigger scum of the two.
Joe. Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I don't understand all this Arsenal hate?? Liverpool are the bigger scum of the two. How?
Samilktray Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I don't understand all this Arsenal hate?? Liverpool are the bigger scum of the two. I wouldnt say there scum cus thats a bit lame, but I agree on them being worse. If Liverpool were to dissapear I would quite enjoy it. Vile club.
Corky Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 One thing I did notice was the noise created when castigating the referee after the sending-off. Why can't the Arses get behind their team with the same level of vocality?

Corky Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 We're exactly the same we're always louder when the refs messed up. I suppose, though we were pretty loud yesterday and the ref did little wrong.
davieG Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I suppose, though we were pretty loud yesterday and the ref did little wrong. What's that then 1 game in 50 even then we weren't as loud as are when the ref is hated.
breadandcheese Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I really hope Liverpool don't win the league. What a boring unadventurous side. Arsenal down to 10 men, without Fabregas and Liverpool's response is to forget ambition and keep their 10 men behind the ball. I think Howard Webb got the decisions wrong today. I don't think either of Adebayor's bookings were correct. He was not stamping but merely attempting to get his body in front of the ball and opposing player. There was no malice involved and no danger to the opposing players involved. Very poor decision.
