Martin 6 1 excellent save but his kicking was average and he flapped badly at a couple of crosses. Not the long term answer.

Berner 6 did ok. injured??

Morrison 6 Average but really showed how key Tunchev is to not only our defense but out whole play.

Hobbs 7 Best defender we had today.

Gilbert 5 Poor today. so may misplaced passes. didn't look interested.

Dyer 5 A gradel like performance. Confidence seems to have vanished. I'd put him on the bench next week.

Davies 8 Good performance again especially as he had to make up for a largely anonymous central midfield.

King 7 An extra point for a very well taken goal but this was not one of his better performances. Looked jaded and disappeared for long periods in the second half.

Oakley 7.5 A good outing for him. He looked busy and was one of the few who really seemed up for it.

Howard 8.5 Another great effort and a well taken goal. At times he was the only player who wanted to keep hold of the ball.

Fryatt 7 Was looking very sharp before he was injured in an incident which was a clear cut penalty and perhaps even a red card.

Mattock 6 Not anything to choose between him and Berner.

Dickov 5 Looks woefully short of the old Dickov. Personally I think we need to think about a striker in the transfer window as neither DJ nor Dickov look up to it.

Adams 5 Short on confidence and match play and it showed.

He was shocking today Ben. Constantly gave away possession, never beat his man and provided very little.

If Dyer was "shocking" and deserved a four then some performances in some games would have rated minus a few!

Martin - 6 - good kicking and handling generally. One moment where he had an easy catch but elected to punch, suggests he is lacking in confidence somwhat.

King - 7 - Good strike and some good bits and bobs throughout as ever

Davies - 8 - Don't know if we can sign him, but I hope we keep him for at least a little longer. Brilliant ball carrier and great energy in the middle.

Dyer - 6 - lacking a bit of confidence and it's not quite running for him at the moment. He'll be back though.

Howard - 8 - winning headers and holding the ball up always. Took his goal well.

Fryatt - 7 - great energy and new found pace running the channels until injury.

I agree with that apart from 5 for Adams, i thought he tried to get forward and was positive, didn't sit back.

Oakley and Davies played really well today.

In Morrisons defence he seems to be trying to play the ball on the deck more, and I think will develop into a quality defender for us.

I am also pleased with Hobbs who I must admit I was a bit doubtful off, he seems to have gained some more compossure of late and has put in some decent performances.

To be fair to Morrison, when he does play the ball he always looks up and has great vision and accuracy and not a typical Kisnorbo HOOOOOFFF! He's so composed aswell, big and strong. He's got a good future IMO.

Morrison 6 - Needless fouls could've lead to more dangerous things, but generally solid.

Oakley 8 - Class. Again. Where are all his haters now?

Dyer 5 - Poor again from Lloyd today.

King 7 - Wasted shots, but a good goal and a general overall performance that was pleasing.

Davies 8 - What a player he is. Takes the game by the scruff of the neck.

Fryatt 7 - Looked lively and showed good willingness to chase everything, could've scored one of the best team goals you'd have seen all season bar a good save.

Howard 7 - Scored with a powerful finish, lead the line well and won a lot, silly silly foul to give away.

Dickov 5 - Did nothing.

Mattock 6 - Did well against a tricky opponent.

Adams 5 - In the time he got, i was disappointed.

Would a captain of any quality allow his team to switch off in the closing minutes and let opponents back into the game?

It happened at Leeds, and again yesterday.

Martin 7 - Did well for a change. A couple of decent stops.

Gilbert 6.5 - Did ok, but largely ineffective

Hobbs 7 - Did reasonably well, stepped up his game in the absence of Tunchev.

Morrison 6.5 - Reasonable performance but I think he was at fault for the goal.

Berner 5 - Too slow. And Powell's positioning is better. He should be 3rd choice left back.

Oakley 7 - Drifted in and out of the game, but a few decent balls in

King 7.5 - Played really well at times, great finish for the goal and always confident in possession. Left shooting boots at home other than for the goal though.

Davies 7.5 - So energetic and positive. I don't think we'll be able to keep him but we should have a bloody good go at trying.

Dyer 6.5 - I didn't think he was that bad today - skinned his man on numerous occassions, but his delivery was shocking sometimes.

Howard 7.5 - Good hold up play as usual and a decent finish for his goal.

Fryatt 7 - Works so hard for the team but should have scored at least once, if not twice.

Dickov 4 - The guy has a negative influence on the team. He is slow, makes ridiculous tackles and is clearly just a horrible character. Did anybody else see him throwing his elbows around when he came on? We can't afford for Fryatt to be out for long because Dickov just isn't up to it. In my view Dickov largely cost us the game against Leeds as well with his lack of attitude when he came on - didn't chase down the lost causes like Fryatt and Howard and gave them time and space to launch the attack they ultimately scored from.

Mattock 6 - Better than Berner

Adams 4.5 - Crap.

Am I the only person who thought that it was a poor performance other than between the 5th and 15th minutes?

Oakley 8 - Creative, attack minded and good vision

King 7 - He did ok, good goal

Davies 8 - Very comfortable on the ball, potentially the best technical player we have

Dyer 7 - One trick pony, but that trick often creates things

Howard 6 - I want to love him, but I can't. I believe this 'build up' play is a myth. He wins a lot of headers but then cant direct them to any use, whenever he losses the ball he just stands there and makes no attempt to win it back and when he lays it off wide he WALKS towards the area when we need him sprinting in there ready for the cross. Good finish for the goal but his goal tally still isn't good enough, unless he sorts ot his laziness I'll continue to be frstrated by him

Fryatt 7 - Nice touches, should have scred though

Dickov 6 - Made things happen with his closing down, however he kept moving out wide too often when we needed him in the box

Mattock 7 - His quality shone through

Adams 6 - Ineffective
