demon_dog Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 While at the game on Saturday, in the Kop, I noticed that a guy in the row in front of me had brought his young son with him. The lad was probably about six years of age, was he watching the game, NO! He sat there playing a bloody game on his DS Lite. To make matters worse mid way through the second half his dad joined in! Was the game really that bad. Has anyone else ever noticed people with young kids who don't seem interested in the game?
Floating Fox Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 I wonder why they are bored...erm maybe because going to the walkers is boring as fck?
StanSP Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Sure his son wasn't a Palace fan by any chance? If so, very cruel of the Dad to make them sit in the Kop!

There was 1 chance all game and Howard missed it, they had no clear cut chances at all, so cold and boring. Our attitude to the game was completely wrong, 8 home wins in a row we should have just fooking gone for it, Pearson got it drastically wrong Saturday, and if we pick up injuries to key players in the reply it will be his fault. Palace should have been beaten Saturday. I wish i had a DS lite to play on

moseeds Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 I remember a girl in front of me reading a book about 2 seasons ago. Summed it up really.
Shrenchel Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 No, happens all the time. It's pretty annoying but you can't really blame the kids. I find the Walkers about as exciting as getting a handjob off a middle aged brass, can't imagine how dull it would be if I hadn't really developed any affection for leicester/football yet. One of the weirdest things I ever saw at Filbo was a geezer going absolutely mental at his own son for playing gameboy whilst the game was going on. The stuff he was shouting at him would probably get you a lifetime ban nowadays.

Yes against peterborugh 2 kids and the boy just was messing around, kicking the chair, going stroppy at everything, i was not amused

Scow Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 There should be a purge of young kids who take no interest in the football.
OzFox Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Took my wife to the game. She sat there in a sort of stunned silence, and has now sworn never to go to another Leicester match. In her opinion, it really was that bad...
carterfox90 Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 used to take my youngest when i got divorced just so i could see him he used to spend most of the games asleep the oldest turned out ok though still a season ticket holder travels up from luton for every game
Finchy Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Lad in front of me in the kop was playing his Nintendo DS at the Peterborough game!
Ultra Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 On any given matchday, in all areas of the ground, there'll be grown adults who spend more time in the bars and the bogs than actually watching the game. Their behaviour is just as bad as that of those who take toys or books to the stadium.
JakeShingler Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 My mum took my sister to her first match v Hereford and she loved it and is going again this week.
Guest Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Lad in front of me in the kop was playing his Nintendo DS at the Peterborough game! You couldn't have asked for a more entertaining game and still he was on his DS? Beggars belief
sbfox Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Took my wife to the game. She sat there in a sort of stunned silence, and has now sworn never to go to another Leicester match. In her opinion, it really was that bad... So..... you're saying that the performance against a decent Championship team on Saturday was worse than any of the dross we had to sit through last season? I actually enjoyed Saturday, it was good to see Max and Kerrea get a run out together and I thoroughly enjoyed watching Davies. Sorry.
Monk Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 When I had a season ticket last season with my dad there was a family of 4 behind us for the entire season. The 2 kids spent the entire game playing on their DS and the mum spent the game speaking on the phone and telling the kids to shut up. Seemed like a horrendous waste of money by the father. In fairness the kids were well behaved, but if they're not interested then why bother forking out the cash?

I actually enjoyed Saturday, it was good to see Max and Kerrea get a run out together and I thoroughly enjoyed watching Davies. Sorry. Worse than last season? No, nothing could be THAT bad But waiting 81 minutes for a shot on target hardly qualifies as scintillating entertainment, or money well spent. At least in my wifes eyes anyway

Blanesta Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Forget the kids playing ds what about people who leave about 4 or 5 mins before the end ? and thats in any game!
Shrenchel Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Forget the kids playing ds what about people who leave about 4 or 5 mins before the end ? and thats in any game! Depends though. A lot of fans drive a long way to come and watch Leicester. The majority of the time I can understand why someone wouldn't wanna bang an extra half an hour onto a 2 hour journey just so they can catch the last 5 minutes.
