davieG Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 Although surely he can score in League 1 Daily Mirror reports that former Leicester forward Ade Akinbiyi could be on his way to Leeds. Akinbiyi is still the most expensive player ever to be signed by Leicester City, when they paid Wolves £5 million for him in June 2000. Akinbiyi is a well travelled man with a past at Norwich, Gillingham, Bristol City, Wolves, Leicester, Crystal Palace, Stoke, Burnley (twice) and Sheffield United. He has also had loan spells at Brighton and Hereford. Akinbiyi (34) has played at the highest level with Norwich, Leicester and Sheff Utd, but never really been a hit, his best years has been as a player in the Championship were he has contributed well at especially Burnley, Wolves, Stoke and Sheff Utd. Akibniyi has not been a first team regular at Burnley this season and a transfer to Leeds could be a good move for both Leeds and the Leicester transfer record holder.
Fosse Boy Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 I'm sure the pleasant folk at WACCOE will be thrilled with that one!
davieG Posted 12 January 2009 Author Posted 12 January 2009 He does give his all, just that there's not that much to give unless it's a body building contest

I hate to see this in the same sentence. I will make no further comments.

Number 6 Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 Wouldn't be surprised if he scored a few goals in this league, I don't see the move happening though.

Fosse Boy Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 This is going to be hilarious! Can't wait to give him some stick when he comes down to the Walkers! Don't get your hopes up, I doubt it'll actually happen. Still funny though!
DB11 Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 If he was even linked to us I think MM would get castrated by the fans
Uncle Monty Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 An obvious response but a necessary one. My thought also
Edmund Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=149039 check one comment saying we are bigger than fulham. I think we should just start a separate thread called waccoe for laughs, so much entertainment
