Vacamion Posted 14 January 2009 Share Posted 14 January 2009 Dude, "L3 CTY" is stretching it as much as people you see with things like "JO4N" and you have to guess by the make of the car whether it is John or Joan...

Nationwider Posted 14 January 2009 Share Posted 14 January 2009 I really hope there's a Joan out there driving around with JO4N. And M4BEL and DOR1S. Never really seen the point in them. Why not just write your name on the side of your car in black marker?
Bluefoxtim Posted 14 January 2009 Share Posted 14 January 2009 How many people would see that and associate it with Leicester City? I certainly wouldn't.

Thracian Posted 15 January 2009 Share Posted 15 January 2009 I paid £499 for my number plate in a moment of madness. Could have been worse. I bought a half-share in F4CUP. We took it to the Liverpool-West Ham final in Cardiff and put it on show outside The Walkers once, although I've since sold my own half-share to my partner. http://www.personallyyours.co.uk/news/facu...on-24042006.htm That £254,000 for S1NGH was some bid. Don't know whether that's why our own Turbanator went off the beer! Although it's a great way of having fun and perhaps advertising something, it's not an area of investment I'd recommend. Bellend Sebastian Posted 15 January 2009 Share Posted 15 January 2009 I don't get it. Why would anyone want to spend hundreds of pounds on a sequence of letters and numbers that look at best vaguely like a word? Obviously lots of people do. A bloke at our work had a private plate - his initials were TW, and he bought a private plate with TMW on it. Unfortunately, his middle name didn't begin with 'm', but apparently it was 'close enough'. I'll write literally ANYTHING on a piece of wood for £20 and I'll spelt it correctly and everything.
