Picture milton Keynes in a housing estate

Like others have said, the housing is very cramped hence the prices. I personally don't like the area hardly any character and no pub surely that says it all.

The landmarks are tesco's and roundabouts.

Stay in Wigston mate.

Just looking on google maps birds eye view... it does look pretty horrific the way stuff has been packed in. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of structure to it.

I think i'll take a drive up there... but I think my mind us already made up.

lol I belive you live Next door or Next door but one to a proper Milf.

Next door is this couple in their 80s, so probably next door-but one.

Of course, If you've got which house I live in slightly wrong you could be referring to my mum. :ermm:

To be fair you can't complain about value for money and it's not as bad as I made it out as all new build estates across the country are identical, just I don't personally like them. Having said that I will most probably be buying a new build when I go on the property market. It's about what you can afford not what you want. I will probably end up in Hamilton myself :giggle:

At least it's not a rough area where you wake up every morning hoping that your car is still on the driveway.

Nussul lives very close to The Manor.

Bit of useless information for you there.

The police are sneaky around there. Always see them prowling around a corner waiting for people to stumble out the pub into there car.

When I was giving you relationship advice about doing the neighbour you didn't tell me there was a MILF two doors away!

if you're looking in that area, new humberstone is nicer, with more facilities, and has ahd a pub built since we moved away, easily on the direct bus routes to town. turner road we lived on, they're victorian terraces, but they are solid and you can do anything with them in terms of doing them up, and not built out of paper and foam, like new builds......! ;)

It's basically a Netherhall, Rushey Mead, Thurmaston and Thurnby Lodge overspill isn't it!

Have a care old chum. <_<

In terms of "roughness" what's it on par with would you say? The Saff, Braunstone, Wigston, Birstall... etc

I'm from Wigston so I don't have a clue about that side of town really.

I'd wouldn't describe it as rough. Similar to say Stadium Estate or Glenfield (both have characters but the housing is decent enough).

Very cramped though with a lack of real 'set of shops'. You have Tesco's though nearby. It depends whether you're a fan of modern housing estates.

Yeh The Manor quality pub these days i would say a 15 min walk.

But theres one in Humberstone wich is only a 5 or 10mins away.

Also a few working mens clubs.

You mean The Humberstone, Jake in Humberstone village. You have Scrappy Valley working mens club and then Willowbrook Club as well.

what type of people are there, what are the public services like etc etc.

Deffo a place where the Netherhall mob who made it big have moved to. Also, houses that have been knocked up on the cheap and then sold for a fortune.

It's a good 15 minute walk from Moorfields to the Manor!! I'd stick another 15 minutes on for good measure, and well over an hours walk back if you're pi$$ed.

The landlord has barred all the hard boys from the Lodge now and is making a decent job of the Manor.

Go to Birstall

Got a few mates in Hamilton.

West hamilton is the old part before Hamilton spread out to almost touch up Thurmaston.

West is Best in my opinion.

Bigger houses and more space.

East Hamilton which like i said is now ever expanding and almost into Thurmaston has smaller crampier 3 story type end town house houses.

Everone knows tesco is prominant in Hamilton but the main School is in the East (hope School)

The houses there are sound enough. The road links are fairly decent these days too.

But apart from Tesco, there are precious few shops, and no community facilities to speak of.
