What else are the police suppossed to do? Prosecute him for swearing at a policemen, what a monumental waste of time and money that would be. An on the spot fine is the usual punishment for minor misdemeanours, don't see why it should be any different for footballers. Yes Cashley won't feel the pinch, but the public embaressment (and no doubt resulting internal club fine) will hurt him.

The guy gave up the chance to be a legend and a hero at his boyhood club because 60k a week wasn't enough for him. I'm all for people making the most of their talents but the guy shows some fooked up values. Surely the marginal benefit of the cash he gets over and above 60k a week is much less than the benefit he could have gained by becoming and Arsenal legend? Also the guy cheated on Cheryl with a munter. fooking idiot. Best left back in the world though.

Still wish he played for Arsenal though, there was something that makes him look better in an Arsenal shirt. ____ On the pitch, he's a nice and tidy footballer. Not the best left back in the world because he has to contend with the likes of Phillip Lahm. However, he is certainly up there with the best. Off the picth, his attitude is very poor. This being one of the cases and of course when he cheated on Cheryl Cole..... if I was married to her it would be me worrying about her cheating on me, not the other way around.....
