Fox in a Box Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Leicester City have today confirmed that over 1,000 supporters purchased their Season Tickets for the upcoming 2009-10 campaign on Monday. It was the busiest day of the price freeze period to date - with fans keen to secure their seats ahead of the Sunday, March 15 deadline. Many supporters also took up the option of spreading the cost of their Season Tickets using the club's new Direct Debit scheme, which allows supporters to pay in monthly instalments following an initial £50 deposit (£25 for under 18s)* A City spokesman said: "We have seen a big surge in Season Ticket sales today - both through the Walkers Stadium ticket office and online through our e-ticketing facility. "We have processed over 1,000 Season Tickets during the day, but we expect this number to increase as the Sunday deadline draws ever nearer. The majority of sales are renewals, but we are also delighted with the number of new Season Ticket applications received so far, which is an encouraging sign for next season. "We are delighted to report that queuing times never rose above 15 minutes on Monday, and although this may increase slightly as the week goes on, we will do whatever we can to minimise the queues. Our message to fans simply looking to renewing their current seats is to do so online at www.lcfc.com." As well as visiting the online e-ticketing facility HERE, supporters can also email the ticket office direct on [email protected] with their contact details for a later call-back. The Walkers Stadium ticket office is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 2pm on Sunday (deadline day). *There is a £4 administration charge for every monthly payment. Katy Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Presumably if you buy on line you can't bulk buy? You can add someone elses name to your account to renew, I have just done this to mine with Stezza's. Unfortunately it's just for straight forward renewals from what I can see, so will still have to go to Leicester to prove my student status again. In a proper dilemma here, I don't know whether to renew or not.............. Edit: Just noticed you can't use the installment system if you renew online either.

Well that was a farce, I've just tried to see about booking on line, logged in and it's got an entirely different ref no and says I haven't got a ST to renew - considering I've had one for about 20 years you'd think they'd have got that right by now. Oh well I'll go for the email/phone call option. As for renewing, I'm doing that with the full knowledge that I'm being blackmailed into early renewal but I can't afford principles in this case, I'm damned if I'm going to pay over the odds even if it is under duress.
Corky Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 The club really have not handled this renewal system well at all.

I feel for you davie, something inside me is telling me to renew but hate the thought of being blackmailed into it. I think it's a case of seeing how I feel when I wake up on Friday as to whether I go and renew or not.

I will probably end up not renewing our three tickets out of pig headedness and lose my priority one away status to boot.
Fox in a Box Posted 10 March 2009 Author Posted 10 March 2009 Any idea on how many we've sold in total? over a 1,000
Tilley Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 I will probably end up not renewing out of pig headedness. This is currently me.
syston_fox Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Oh cock is that this weekend.... balls! Better sort that out although theres a fat chance of anyone taking our seats where we sit!
Simi Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 I will probably end up not renewing our three tickets out of pig headedness and lose my priority one away status to boot. Same. **** them, if it means I miss games where the same fans that turn up at Cov away go to, I wont be missing anything.
Alexikokopops Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Same. **** them, if it means I miss games where the same fans that turn up at Cov away go to, I wont be missing anything. This is how I'm feeling. It's quite refreshing.
Daggers Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Well, I tried. I tried and failed. Sorry Leese. Sorry Carl. This simply isn't happening for me - it was obviously never meant to be.
Sparky Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Im gonna hold off from renewing now , yeah i may lose my seat but ill get another
lcfc81 Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 this is outrageous! The worst STD going!....... (Season Ticket Deadline)

Daggers Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 I'm not going to have the opportunity to renew during the rest of the week - today was a one hit opportunity before they lob the prices up. I'm not paying more next season no matter what the lad says. I'm irked that I eventually tried to do it only for them to be unable to process my order online or by email. Shutting the ticket office at five really doesn't blend in well with those of us who actually work for a living, you'd have thought they'd have the common sense to open late so they could contact people when they don't have to look after 60 problems at once.

Can they not phone you back or something? I do sometimes wonder where this club are coming from at times...
Corky Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 The club will dress this renewal thing up as a success. It's far from it, and I can see it getting worse.

Well I tried and failed on line today, I was hoping to do it by email tomorrow morning. How come you couldn't do it by email Daggers?
Daggers Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Can they not phone you back or something? I do sometimes wonder where this club are coming from at times... Yup, they can - but not at a time when I was free today, which was after 5:30. Tomorrow and Thurs I have work then late meetings and on Friday afternoon I run a hockey club until a quarter to five. Madness.
Daggers Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 How come you couldn't do it by email Daggers? Going from having a single ST to one of those super Dad&Lad tickets. Which presents untold problems apparently.
Daggers Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 How about Sunday Daggers? Saturday - early start, huge amounts of beer, Milwall and then more beer before a late train home. Sunday - vast hangover and we are straight off to friends for the day. If I can wangle it we may pop into the TO on the way as we pass through but any sign of queue may well be enough for me to bail. Not a bad plan though if they can phone me in the car. And I am capable of speech.
