Finnegan Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 The longer he's gone the nuttier he gets. I wasn't a fan during his time here, I thought he was smug and as big a whinger as Wenger. But you do have to miss some of his wind ups, I really hope he's a lot more tongue-in-cheek than people cotton on because if not then he must be a massive bellend. "If you want me to rule out ever being Manchester United manager, I can't. Special clubs need special managers, so in theory it could work."The Special One sets his stall out. "Yes, Manchester United are the best team in England, but you have to ask how good has the Premier League been since I left? If I was at a top club in England I think the title race might have been a lot closer this year." And he's still as modest as ever. Stuff like this is just utter genius. Love it. I was glad to see the back of him but I have to say I'd probably welcome him back, though I'd rather it not be to Chelsea.
ACF Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Mourinho was a legend, and always will be. But I never liked him.
Thracian Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Mourinho's a publicist's dream and just the sort of character the game needs. Although you could opt for Glenn Roeder I suppose.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Ferguson's only won 1 of 13 against Mourinho. And they call him master of the mind games? Hope Inter go through tonight but I won't lose any sleep if they don't (apart from being fooking knackered after Tranmere).
Darkzzz_ Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Next Arsenal manager. I would love to see him at United.
Samilktray Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 He was wasted at Chelsea. Yanited only English club worthy of him.
StanSP Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I love this guy. He comes up with the most ingenious quotes. I want to meet him.
Joe. Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I used to dislike him in his time in England, but I've grown to miss the guy. You've just got to love his brilliant arrogance.
BoneDog Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I never liked him in England but that's just because of the club he was at. Them quotes at the top are class. Hope he shits on the mancs tonight
StanSP Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 "If I wanted to have an easy job... I would have stayed at Porto - beautiful blue chair, the Uefa Champions League trophy, God, and after God, me." "I would love an Aston Martin but if you ask me £1m for an Aston Martin, I tell you, you are crazy because they cost £250,000." "If you ask me if I jump with happiness when I know Mr Poll is our referee? No." Three years without a Premiership title? I don't think I would still be in a job." Putting the boot into Rafa Benitez. Some of my faves taken from http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/funny_old_game/7004282.stm
Ultra Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Top bloke. No wonder Brian Clough, who lived just long enough to see Mourinho enter English football, thought so highly of him. Both of them were larger-than-life managers who had an unyielding belief in themselves and didn't take crap from anyone. If he does take over at Manyoo, the Premier League title will stay there for the next five years..
Alexikokopops Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I bloody love Jose. HAHAHA just read this "Wenger has a real problem with us and I think he is what you call in England a voyeur. He is someone who likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have this big telescope to look into the homes of other people and see what is happening. Wenger must be one of them - and it is a sickness."
Corky Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 He is controversial, but he's a big character and I think we've missed him. I want him to win and run down the touchline tonight
Ultra Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Remember his dig at Benitez? If you're not a big club, you choose one competition and you fight in that competition and forget the others. Big clubs - we cannot do this. It's still true now..
Dr The Singh Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Remember his dig at Benitez? It's still true now.. the man is a born winner, arrogant yes, a nob, yes, he's just ooozes passion, no wonder the women love him so much, i wish I was him!!
Guest Bilo Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I loved Mourinho and would have loved to see him become England manager (though Capello has turned out to be a good choice thus far). It'd be great to see him return to English football, especially if he were to replace Ferguson at Old Trafford. I think he'd do a great job there and would be as entertaining as ever. Love the bloke.
StanSP Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 When we make it to the Premier League, who would we rather have, Pearson or Mourinho?? They each have their own specific qualities, and are both carry totally different personalities. There seems to be a lot of love for Mourinho here. So who would we have?

Edmund Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Im getting a bit bored of the whole mourinho agenda. I used to like the guy because he was different but now he is all talk and no walk. In his last season at chelsea grant did a better job. I credit him for the porto cl title but the chelsea job was no real achievement considering the financial backing. Im sure I will ruffle a few feathers but I think tonight man united and ferguson will out do mourinhos inter with ease.
