So you'd rather people joined the Taliban and actively tried to kill British soldiers that just be absolute pricks and call them a bunch of nonsense in the streets of Luton?! I don't know if you've got any mates in the army but I'd rather mine were called baby killers by 20 ****** than shot through the head by them.

Im just trying to say(perhaps not too well!) that the Army boys are atleast fighting the cause(Whether they believe in it or not is another matter) The ****** with the placards,if they feel so strongly about the British Troops, should do something to "protect their people against atrocities". Atleast if they do join The Taliban they are fighting their cause. But i do accept your point that my arguement is alittle OTT. Im tired.
BoneDog Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 There is so much I would love to say but just can't be bothered cos I know it would be fruitless. The 2% who would listen already know. And the rest would just attack. Plus, I'm not too clever so would more than likely mess up what I'm tryin to say

They should do what most "British" people do when they get upset by something: a) Go on the Have Your Say section of the BBC website b) Join a Facebook group c) Sign an online petition All of which make you feel like you're doing something without really doing anything
Babylon Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Plus, I'm not too clever That hasn't stopped anyone else on here.
Babylon Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Can I just say... I am now bored of this topic. Back onto something more interesting, how is Jade doing?
Dr The Singh Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 They should do what most "British" people do when they get upset by something:a) Go on the Have Your Say section of the BBC website b) Join a Facebook group c) Sign an online petition All of which make you feel like you're doing something without really doing anything Having spoken to many and seen in many posts, certain questions are arising, such as: Do these muslims consider themselves British, and where is the line between one's faith and one's nation, and certainly a question of integration arises here There double standards There ignorance and there disparity in thought with the rest of Britain The lack of Islamic organisations condemning such acts and the one's that perpetrate such acts Overall, the acts of these minority muslims has lead to wide condemnation and worst of all it has tinged the majority. It has only lead to more Islamophobia and ingorance against them. Such continued acts will only rise to segragation and hate between muslims and non muslims. I believe muslims themselves, need to tackle those that do not represent them and wider society needs to stop wrapping them in cotton wool and let the british muslims with our support, root out those that spread hate!!!

Depends which Muslims you mean? The twenty who protested? There are plenty of organisations condemning such acts, you just don't see em on the tele or in the papers. Doesn't mean they aren't there. Proper Muslims don't hate anyone. I agree with you when you say they are minority Muslims. Alot of Muslims do protest about things, but they are the most oppressed people in the world so I can't blame them really

I'm sure there are many that condemned the act without media coverage but i was watching an Interview with Raghi Omar about it and he went on to say how disapointed he was with the lack of muslim condemnation, I suppose he was going on about the media hungry one's!!! I don't think there is a proper Muslim, Sikh, Jew, or Christian on this planet, we all have falings within us BUT i get your point!!! Nothing wrong with protesting, the Sikhs are no different, but it's the double standards and hatred I disagree with. What's the use of protesting against something bad if your willing bad on others!!!

Houdini Logic Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Precisely... and when they do come home recognise their efforts for just that, by not sticking covert Muslim propaganda placards in their faces. I don't even see how religion comes into play in this one? They were not declaring jihad and they were not stating their hatred for Christianity - they were protesting against War and murder. Just because this group of anti-war protesters sported large beards and muslim attire means that the racist idiots in this country tell them to 'get out'. It's a disgrace.
Houdini Logic Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Im just trying to say(perhaps not too well!) that the Army boys are atleast fighting the cause an illegal war (Whether they believe in it or not is another matter)The ****** British citizens with the placards,if they feel so strongly about the British Troops, should do something to "protect their people against atrocities" by protesting and raising awareness to their cause. Atleast if they do join The Taliban they are fighting their cause would become murderers which is exactly what they are trying to protest against. But i do accept your point that my arguement is alittle OTT unsubstantiated, uneducated and racist. Im tired.

Against the wrong people, wrong time and place, whether they are muslims or white protestors makes no difference!! There religion comes to play because of the groups that have organised the protest, Mr Chaudary is well known for his stance and his beliefs and using such words as 'Anglian Butchers' obviously makes a distinction into the difference the protestors want to propagate!!

It does and if you think differently you're naive. If this was a group of your run of the mill dreadlocked hippies protesting would people still be saying get out of our country? There religion comes to play because of the groups that have organised the protest, Mr Chaudary is well known for his stance and his beliefs I'm an athiest. Does that mean that if i want to go and protest against something all athiests should be tarred with the same brush? Give it a break.

Might to you, but makes no fifference to me, and no i'm not niave, my background is niether white nor muslim, so hence I have inherent sympthathies to either. I have seen Sikhs protest and rasie some very disgusting banners, and I was just as much horrified as I am now!! Again nothing wrong against protesting, but using hatred against hatred doesn't wash by me!! Your being niave by assuming that I follow some kinship rhetoric to my own or have a relavent grudge or favour towards one's other, don't fookin judge me!! On your second point, i've highlighted THERE, as in Mr Chaudary's moronic Islamic group and read my previous point\post, nobody said the whole of the muslim community, this is a minority of the whole Muslim populus, but the fact still remains there conjunction is there faith, which in Chaudary's case most would say a distorted cersion!!! YOU GIVE IT A BREAK, if you don't like what I post then don't fookin read it or respond to it!!!
Babylon Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Go Singhy, Go Singhy, Go Singhy.... fight, fight, fight My anger is not so much against the people protesting at the moment, it's against the people who sanctioned it. A protest at that time and place was completely idiotic, the only people to blame for the clash were the police for giving it the go ahead. The place was obviously going to be full of "patriotic" people and lots of friends and family of the soldiers. If a relative of mine was being called a rapist or child killer with that kind of venom, I would probably have got into a ruck as well if I'm honest. What did they think was going to happen, it's about as obvious as someone holding a BNP rally on Belgrave Road during Diwali.
