StanSP Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Over the years, The Apprentice has been seen to lose a little bit of magic which was present in the first couple of series. Even though some may think that this year will be the same, I don't. So discuss all Apprentice issues and programmes here i.e. Favourite characters, who you think will win, who is the idiot, maybe you know one of them etc.. Anything regarding the Apprentice, here is the place to be! The following are the contestants to appear in this series, starting next Wednesday (25th) at 9pm. The Females: Mona Lewis Yasmina Siadatan Kimberly Davis Anita Shah Lorraine Tighe Kate Walsh Paula Jones Debra Barr The Males Howard Ebison Majid Nagra Noorul Choudhury Ben Clarke Phillip Taylor Rocky Andrews James McQuillan Whole host of characters there! From a guy who says money is better than sex (but is inspired by Playboy) to a woman from The Bronx - this series could be quite intriguing to watch!
Katy Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Well I for one am overly excited about this coming back. I The Apprentice!
JoeyB Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 This is going to be the daddy. I'll be on it next year
StanSP Posted 17 March 2009 Author Posted 17 March 2009 This is going to be the daddy.I'll be on it next year I was gonna say I'll look out for you but I don't know what you look like
Shrenchel Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Credit crunch Apprentice apparently. Due to budget cuts, all overseas challenges have been pulled and will be replaced by several 'buy British' challenges. They are also not going to announce Alan Sugar's wealth during the intro sequence as usual because he's believed to have a lost a fooking fortune in the recession.
Shrenchel Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 fook me, the women are absolute hounds. Mona and Kate are the only passable ones.

Inevitable that there would have been changes. Any ideas on how much he may have lost?? Intro sequence used to say that he has 800m in his back pocket. Wonder what it has dropped to
Matt Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Love it. Someone I spoke to about this said they prefered Dragon's Den, They are both good but The Apprentice pisses all over Dragon's Den! It has to be said though that some of the people who go on The Apprentice who are supposedly 'bright' and 'business minded' people are thick as pig shit - But that is part of the entertainment I suppose.

Yeah it would be unwise to select a bunch of people with IQ's of 200. Most of the series is made for TV though i.e. the editing in the boardroom. Obviously pieces have to be cut out to fit the timings etc...
davieG Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Stopped watching it, it's become like a 'business' (loosely) based Big Brother with people picked not for their business acumen but the chance that they'll throw a wobbly or prove to be a complete arsehole!

They're all complete and utter idiots but I just can't stop watching whenever it's on! It's like poking at a sore tooth.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 James McQuillan? Sounds like a right cockmonstrel.
hairy Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 With the exception of Kate the women are all a bit fugly this year. I love the show but I feel a bit tainted by the fact Stringer was in it as he hardly comes across as a business highflyer and more just vain.

You've put me off the show already!!!
Sir Fynwy Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 As with all 'reality tv' it'd be better if people went and got a real life.
Matt Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Getting excited now, 1 of not many decent programmes on TV! Half an hour to go! You're Fired!
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 There is a video clip of one of the women pricing the cleaning of 3 hummers at a total of £300. Despite the fact that the bloke says he has a company do them for £60 she is adamant that £300 is reasonable. Numpty. These people are meant to be intelligent.

And the clip that's been going round where they wash a car with the doors open
Uncle Albert Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 The Apprentice as a whole is nothing but filth, I would love Alan Sugar to be my old man. Harsh but fair. Excited now.
dandannieldanok Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Looking forward to it, I prefer these first few weeks where the tasks are almost manual labour and the contestants just can't seem to grasp it.
Katy Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 I am also excited. So much so I need to visit the little girls room.
