C-man Posted 19 March 2009 Author Posted 19 March 2009 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1941...mp;id=705716996 I know you love the PDP more though Dave. I've been there for the Tigers vs Stade Francais Heineken Cup final. Must be around 8 years ago now, blimey! I remember the ridiculous atmosphere there and it finished 34-30 in Tigers favour. Last minute Leon Lloyd try
Fez of Mahrez Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 I know you love the PDP more though Dave. I've been there for the Tigers vs Stade Francais Heineken Cup final. Must be around 8 years ago now, blimey! I remember the ridiculous atmosphere there and it finished 34-30 in Tigers favour. Last minute Leon Lloyd try Without a doubt. I don't think the likes of Wembley or Stade de France can compare to club stadia for atmosphere (would love to be proved wrong at the Championship play-off final next season )
Darkzzz_ Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Sure that wasn't taken away at Norwich last season? Caught me ! I'd love to see a game in Italy but must admit I'm afraid of the nutters. Think I read somewhere that during a Atalanta / Roma match some fans set a motorised scooter on fire and threw it from the upper tier onto the opposition fans below. Not sure about the teams involved (might have been Lazio), but pretty sure about the incident. I felt safe at Milan and Napoli but the atmosphere in the wrong section of the ground could get ugly, like any ground, the thing is over here it is handled better, the police aren't as bent here as they are in Italy. The game you are referring to was the game between Inter and Atalanta. Nutters!! Curva Sud is where it goes down, the place feels like it is rocking, something I can't wait to experience again, hoping to do another trip to Italy later in the year. Hope you get to go, I have only been to two games out there and out of the 5 Barca games I have been to the atmosphere in Italy was a lot better. Although Barca is very very good!!
Podge Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 New ground. Didnt think it was opening now, thought workers had downed tools since they weren't being paid because of Valencias financial situation. Might be wrong though. Still looked like this just recently But on the topic main stand at Ibrox is impressive from the outside. I like the red brick look.
Uncle Albert Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 I swear your a bloody Liverpool fan!! Because I have a knowledge about them? Wow! Yea I do have a fondness for Liverpool and I have explained my reasons for this on many an occasion, what that has to do with you I will never know. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1941...mp;id=705716996 Cheers pal.
Narborough_fox Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 But on the topic main stand at Ibrox is impressive from the outside. I like the red brick look. I've been there for an old firm, CL and a game against Motherwell. We won The Old Firm Drew against BARCA in the CL and beat Motherwell 4-1. Great atmosphere with follow follow rangers.
Ultra Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Can't believe this hasn't had a mention yet... And soon, it'll be expanded still further..
Unabomber Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Nou Camp what a great stand! Can't believe this hasn't had a mention yet... And soon, it'll be expanded still further..
Tommeh Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Arthur Wait stand, Selhurst Park. And Alex, always been more if a coop community stand man for the imps myself, few rows below the band.
Kilworthfox Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Better Yeah right, you have obviously not sat in the "new kop"
1884 Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Yeah right, you have obviously not sat in the "new kop" That's the family stand
Alexikokopops Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Arthur Wait stand, Selhurst Park. And Alex, always been more if a coop community stand man for the imps myself, few rows below the band. I used to have a season ticket there, £50! I even used to help out in the band from time to time. The Stacy West was the scene of my first football game, when I was in Beavers, on the terracing that used to be there. Love it.
Kilworthfox Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 That's the family stand ha, could not find a Kop one, meh its the same
Monk Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 La Liga (Costa Rica's Manchester United) have a decent stadium, their stand behind the goal, from where this picture is taken is huge, and higher than the rest of the stadium. Pretty heated atmosphere too! I saw the costa rican cup final there in 07. Rolando Fonseca played for them!
purpleronnie Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 If it gets built, I want to go! Looks like another bowl, maybe looks better from inside.
Asha Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Has to be Liverpool's Kop for me. Looks immense, especially on European games. Hope the ground stays long enough for Leicester to play there
