davieG Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 From OS Leicester City supporters are today reminded that Saturday's League One clash against Peterborough United is a total sell out. Foxes fans were quick to snap up their allocation - with 4,100 tickets being sold within the first three days of sale. And the Posh confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that they had now sold out all tickets in the home areas of the stadium, meaning there will be over 14,000 fans inside London Road for the first time in a number of years on the day. A City spokesman said: "This promises to be one of the games of the season and I am sure our massive following will make themselves heard at London Road on Saturday. "Our away support has been unbelievable all season. We have sold out on a number of occasions and there is no doubt that this has had a bearing on the team's excellent form on the road." They've only come to watch Leicester!!
JoeyB Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Yes daiveG you got it right. They've only come to watch Leicester!!
Lillehamring Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 correct me if i'm wrong, but weren't their fans all over foxes talk for the previous game? I reckon we'll do this one, bound to be a few goals, but i think we'll get a result - the players will know how much this game means....

You would hope so. Someone should try and insert this belief into home games as well.
Corky Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Really looking forward to this one. Had the buzz for it since my ticket for the terrace arrived. Anyone on here in the seated area for Saturday?
maddog Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 If we win this one, the title race will be over and we will finish as champions. A win Saturday would leave us at least 9 points clear of 2nd place, and at least 10 points clear of 3rd place, with 6 games to go. Theres just no way we will surrender a 9 point lead in 6 matches A loss though will mount HUGE pressure on the Carlisle home game, which is a must win, considering we still have Scunny, Leeds, Southend, and Crewe all to play after that match. I will be shitting myself if we lose to P'Boro and Carlisle, but just can't see it happening. Either way a win Saturday will seal the title IMO.

Dr The Singh Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 that's the thing with city tho, put them under that kind of pressure and they're more likely to perform.... It's the viagra effect, with it they perform without, they just look placid!!!!

StanSP Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Losing on Saturday will, on the surface, look bad, but look deeper and we will still be 4 points ahead. Whatever happens on Saturday we will still be top - and I think we'll stay top til the end. If we lose, I think we'll win our next few games afterwards anyway.

Yeh moaning about there allocation.

If we lose, I think we'll win our next few games afterwards anyway. True, but there is a chance that losing will have a negative affect on the players. I think a draw will be a good result but obviosuly a win will be massive! There was this kinda build up against MK Dons and we got a result and since then we have stayed strong but if you look at them, they have had a bit of a dip in form. A win would virtually guarantee us promotion (not the title tho!) as I can't see us dropping points AND other teams being consistent. A draw won't really change much in terms of pressure and a loss may get some fans on their backs but as you said, we are still 4 points clear so it shouldn't be that way.
Ultra Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Even without Tunchev, Davies, Howard and King - four of the key players when we hammered the posh in December - there is still sufficient experience and ability in this side to pull off a victory. They showed their battling qualities at Franchise and Millwall. Now they have to do it again.

Dr The Singh Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 or flacid davieG, I know your pain!!! Plus hopefully I will get my season ticket this friday, we will bump into each other even more!!!!
davieG Posted 25 March 2009 Author Posted 25 March 2009 davieG, I know your pain!!! Plus hopefully I will get my season ticket this friday, we will bump into each other even more!!!! Foxestalk massive in Just the Ticket - we'll make the Kop and L1/K1 look dumb, not too difficult though
Dr The Singh Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Foxestalk massive in Just the Ticket - we'll make the Kop and L1/K1 look dumb, not too difficult though Well, we will be the good looking FT massive anyway, with junior making up for our mugs uglyness!!!
Corky Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 If & when we score at Peterborough, will we have some old fashioned running to the front of the terrace crushing the first few rows? That would be immense Not if I'm at the front But I'm sure I'll survive. Sounds like a good idea, will look good on the TV
StanSP Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Not if I'm at the front But I'm sure I'll survive. Sounds like a good idea, will look good on the TV You make it sound like you could stop them all from piling on to you with your bare hands
Corky Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 You make it sound like you could stop them all from piling on to you with your bare hands I meant I don't want to be crushed.
StanSP Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 I meant I don't want to be crushed. Be a crusher then
Ultra Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 If & when we score at Peterborough, will we have some old fashioned running to the front of the terrace crushing the first few rows? That would be immense Certainly would - especially as I'm in the seats on Saturday...
Katy Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 I'm getting more and more excited about this game, I think it's the opposition and the fact it's a good old fashioned terrace. Hopefully I'll be well enough to join in the surge to the front if/when we score.
STUHILL Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 HUGE game!!!! Perhaps the biggest of the season. Win it and that surely is it, lose, and we are looking shaky! However, whatever the result, with King and Howard coming back week after, I'm sure we can get the 4 wins needed to be promoted, plus MK dons are struggling and Millwall will drop points I'm sure! Posh are building this game up a lot, and we all know that can back-fire on them if their not careful. For once I say we are the slight underdogs, which strangely gives me some confidence! We need big players like Oakley and Fryatt to have big games!! Will be awesome if we win, no matter what the score!!!!
