Just woken up after a 36 hour drinkathon - went to the match but can't for the life of me remember the result, did we win?

we sing WACCOE because the ref in the '75 ECWC was bribed. We scored 4 times, all of which were disallowed. the monday after the final the ref was banned from refereeing ever again. Take from that what you will.

Funny really because something similar happened to Derby Country against Juventus in a European Cup Semi Final. Clough moaned about it at the time but Derby fans don't proclaim they were Champions of Europe from then now. It wasn't the European Cup Winners Cup in 75 either - it was the European Cup.

He was amazing!!! Totally took the piss out of their right back! The best bit was when he kicked the ball about 30 yards ahead of him and outran him!
no the best bit was when douglas tried to stop it going out for a corner failed then started hitting his fist on the ground :giggle:

Hmm well this thread seems to have less and less Leeds material in it so perhaps it would be wise to close it so we can all move on together...marching on!?

I hate it when the ref is rooting for the other team  Mind you, you still couldn't win with all the fookin officials on your side yesterday :giggle:

Sorry, major honours only.

The first ECWC was in the 60s

It's our fault that Luton were shafted by the FA and Football League this season. And why Bournemouth got raped. And the goal celebrations would have been 10x better at Elland Road 'cos you lot just stood and watched what Leeds were doing... lol:doh: !

Wtf flowers? was it a football game or a date?

No we won the league cup, i was there that day. Half the ground was being rebuilt.

So who's bigger?

Leeds or City???

LCFC are by far the biggest and have better supporters and a better ground and TBH a much better city than run down Leeds, you have to feel sorry for Leeds though as the only thing they have to cling on to is finishing second in a competition that happend 34 years ago, so long ago that nobody else remembers or cares about which helps Leeds to twist the story to claim they actually won.

Seems like the last 34 years have just been nothing but misery for Leeds, its no wonder WACCOE exists because if it doesnt happen in reality people resort to fantasy.

Also Leeds got a 4 year ban from Europe for there disgraceful behavior in that game which was an embarrassment to all english clubs.

Leeds scored once in that game but it was dissallowed for offside and the final result was Byern Munich 2 Leeds 0 so even if the goal stood they would have still lost so 34 years of moaning about it shows the pathetic state the club is in,i just hope they dont drag Simon Grayson down to there level.

They won the league 16 years ago

Well i just searched that and i would like to know what season you are talkin about lol as i dont see that anywhere and even if they did (which i doubt) shame it wasnt enough to lift the clubs supporters our of Jackanory land , the clubs down to earth supporters must find WACCOE such an embarrassment.

Could you mean 1991-1992 season this would make more sense although it was 17 years ago not 16.

I never really get the whole argument over who supports the biggest club. It reminds me of being at school 'My Dad is bigger than yours'. He might be, but I wouldn't swap him for the world!

Simply put:

We're not bigger, but better.

The one guy who once came up with quality over quantity was all right. thumbup:

I'm still not swapping :D

Seriously though, as mentioned before, good luck to you. You've made this league look easy.

I'd still take a great dad over a big dad any day.

Are you finally cleared for a parent adoption then, Raj?

I can offer you shelter, food and a lovely, tidy, quiet and modest  son-to-be.

You might want to take up some evening classes in Swiss German, though.

Looking forward to discuss Galiei's case, the difference between Rokoko and Baroque as well as the Pakistani/Indian separation.

Of course, we'll talk football, too...

...dad. :santa:
