The Doctor Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Well done leicester, on the day you deserved it and good luck. As for the poster who said we're only the 8th best team, a few recent results:Peterborough (h) W 3-1 Milwall (h) W 2-0 MK Dons (h) W 2-0 S****horpe (h) W 3-2 Oldham (a) D 1-1 Leicester (a) L 1-0 we've beaten every team around us recently, and look by far and away better than them. Playoffs it may be, but for the first time in a long while I'm confident of a promotion. Oh, and Robinson was good when he came on but he's very unfit and slow. thank you Thats fairly good form of late but weren't you on a similar run at the end of last season and yet still ended up losing in the play offs?
Simi Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Does anyone know whether Fabian Delph has been allowed to leave Andy King's pocket yet?
The_Risk Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 He was amazing!!! Totally took the piss out of their right back! The best bit was when he kicked the ball about 30 yards ahead of him and outran him! He's not a right back, he's a central midfielder. But credit to Dyer, he was one of the best players on the pitch. Him, Ankergren, Sodje, Stockdale (sp?) were the best players, and i thought Snodgrass did well too. On a more sour note, why don't you get over yourselves now? 33 pages of spunking over Steve Howard, its boring for all involved. Sad c*nts

CosbehFox Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 33 pages of spunking over Steve Howard, its boring for all involved. I've spunked over him a lot more than 33 pages I can assure. As for that bottle comment in your sig, Leeds have a superb record in finals and having the bottle to win trophies.....

As for that bottle comment in your sig, Leeds have a superb record in finals and having the bottle to win trophies..... Leeds had the bottle to overcome a 15 point deficit last year, and still make it to the playoffs. Yes we didn't play well in the final, but we've got a lot more bottle than you. What would you know anyway sheepshagger? I'm surprised you can even spell "bottle", illiterate ****

leftsideoverhere Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 What do you suggest then? We tell them off? "Oi, thats naughty, stop thinking that!". Gimme a break, having spoken to these people on WACCOE, I for one know that challenging them on the situation would just increase their behaviour. Theyd give it some more, it'd spurr 'em on. Its called damage limitation. If you wanna go challenge 'em then be my guest, but don't be surprised/offended when it just gets amplified. Racism is not "naughty". It's offensive. End of. I don't want to have to listen to people spouting intolerant shit about black people or gays or gypsies or whoever the Daily Mail has told them is the enemy of the week. We're all human beings. Until we can learn to live like we value ourselves equally then we're always going to be scrapping in the shit like animals while a tiny minority live like kings. Racism is much like bullying. Standing up to bullies is hard and unpleasant. But it's better than the alternative. Ducking the issue isn't 'damage limitation' - it's 'flack limitation'. Don't pretend that it's a strategy for dealing with the racists. No-one is saying that you can make an NF stormtrooper into a tolerant individual with one well-written post on an internet forum. But for every bonehead nazi there's several hundred casual racists. People who 'go along with it', who think it's a laugh, who just don't get what's so wrong, or who think it's a way of being 'radical' in a society where multi-culturalism says you can think whatever you like but you mustn't say 'naughty' words about black people. Those people can be put off from using racist language, or racist taunting if they're challenged when they do it. Attitudes can change by means of argument and education. In fact, that's the ONLY way attitudes change. Of course you can't do it every time. On the train home from Hereford. a group of grown up (i.e. not 'lads' but blokes older, and bigger, than me) City fans referred to the ticket collector as "that rag-head". Yes, he was wearing a turban. Thankfully, they didn't do it in his hearing, but I still wanted to challenge it. However, there were four of them, I was on my own with Greg and they'd clearly been drinking all day. I ducked it. But that was cowardice on my part, or perhaps common sense. It certainly wasn't 'damage limitation' - next time they see a man in a turban they'll call him a rag-head without a moment's thought. If I'd felt brave enough to challenge them on Saturday, they might not have. That's what it is all about.

The_Risk Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Fook off then you bellsniff. When was the last time they won a major honour? Division 1 (Year before the Premiership) in 1992, you?
Samilktray Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I care more for Burnley & Hull than Leeds United.
CosbehFox Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Leeds had the bottle to overcome a 15 point deficit last year, and still make it to the playoffs. Yes we didn't play well in the final, but we've got a lot more bottle than you. What would you know anyway sheepshagger? I'm surprised you can even spell "bottle", illiterate **** You have never had the bottle when it mattered. You didn't have it at Wembley last year, you didn't have it when Bayern Munich beat you in an Euro Cup final and you didn't have it in the 92nd minute yesterday. The only reason Leeds United are at their lowest ebb is because they didn't have the bottle at the right times. Whether it be an Euro Cup Semi, a Championship Playoff Final or a final day game at Bolton. Have a look at the post again for the spelling, you thicko. As for the Welsh comment, I ain't even Welsh. I only use because of a week I visited Cardiff and that's when I originally log on here.
RowlattsFox Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Probably been mentioned before, but that Scott Dobie goal is even more annoying now. We'd have been promoted now and to win it in those circumstances against Leeds would have been fantastic.
leftsideoverhere Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 When was the last time they won a major honour? Oh, Christ, don't start them off all over again!
Corky Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 When was the last time they won a major honour? Bert, you'll make them cry
The_Risk Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Bert, you'll make them cry If one of you is going to pipe up with the Worthless Cup, it's not a major honour. See you all next year x
AoWW Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 If one of you is going to pipe up with the Worthless Cup, it's not a major honour.See you all next year x Byeeeee - don't rush back on our account. x
Bert Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Division 1 (Year before the Premiership) in 1992, you? League cup, 2000 and 1997.
Corky Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 If one of you is going to pipe up with the Worthless Cup, it's not a major honour. Who cares? We don't, we won it, we celebrated winning it, couldn't give a shit what you think. Bye xx
The_Risk Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Byeeeee - don't rush back on our account. x I'll pop back next year just before you come to Elland Road, and maybe before we come to Wankers Stadium. League cup, 2000 and 1997. Sorry, major honours only.
Bert Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I'll pop back next year just before you come to Elland Road, and maybe before we come to Wankers Stadium. I don't want to draw you in the League cup and the FA cup.
AoWW Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I'll pop back next year just before you come to Elland Road, and maybe before we come to Wankers Stadium. Can't wait - I'll put it in my diary.
Corky Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Sorry, major honours only. When did you win the European Cup? I can't remember. And before you say "when did you play in it", we don't sing about it
