Simi Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Leeds fan is totally, totally wrong. I've just watched the match back on Sky + and could tell at least 5 times that the mic was turned up when Leeds were singing. Everytime they sung MOT for a start. I was at the game next to the Leeds fans and they were good yes, you can also see that reflected on the TV as well. I don't really see how this "debate" can continue.
Guest Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Oh, but it's okay, we get to listen to Katherine Jenkins. I'd probably just mute it myself and look at her to be honest

The Doctor Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Seriously leeds fans give it a rest. you may have sung louder than us but we don't care because we were the ones who won the match to all but confirm promotion. The game is won by the players performing not just by the fans out singing everyone or claiming to be the better fans. If that were the case then cheltenham would be challanging for the title. but there not there fighting off relegation. END OF STORY. (no disrespect to cheltenham fans though.)
lookwhaticando Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I feel the urge to change that username of yours to TonyDorito. Don't ask why, because I don't know.
Simi Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Because i'm not referring to the moment with LEEDS fans, am I? Not sure you've done a great job of explaining yourself then, mate. If you're talking about not being able to hear the Leeds fans after we'd scored, then, I'm sorry, but that's the way it is. We'd just scored the winning goal and Sky probably wanted to reflect that by hearing the Leicester fans in the background. You can hear you in the background still. Whether that is right or wrong is a different story.

To be fair, TonyDorito seems an amazing username!
Fosse Boy Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Would you rather go MK ****** or Elland Road?Would you rather have another game/set of away fans like yesterday or some Tim Lovejoy JCLs sitting down with a songbook thats even worse than ours?? Hard to disagree with you. As much as I dislike both Leeds and Millwall, I'd far rather either of them went up than the ******, no matter how hilarious seeing Leeds play at least another season of lower league football would be. Nah, the Prem's just crap now. Too many Prawn Sarnies.

To be fair, TonyDorito seems an amazing username! Fair play, it all started reading like drivel to me after the last two pages . Thought your support was decent, nice to see the same songs that everyone sings changed to be made unique btw.

leftsideoverhere Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Like I say, i'm part of the new set of Leeds fans, who will no doubt be judged differently from those that went before us (or at least I hope so - we tend to focus on supporting our team and having friendly banter with opposing fans rather than being racists). Look, I appreciate that you are young and that you mean what you say in this and other posts. However I am talking about Leeds fans yesterday, while watching the Millwall v Posh game on the internet, using the associated chat to describe Leicester as "just like a town in Pakistan" and so on. It is simply not good enough to say "we're not racist". Not a single Leeds fan on that chat challenged what was being written - a couple of Leicester fans did, but getting those idiots to shut up was primarily the responsibility of their fellow Leeds fans. Likewise, what I don't see on waccoe is the "decent majority" you write about telling the scumbags to shut up, or challenging their racism. For sure we still have our own intolerant supporters, but there's plenty of evidence in foxestalk forums of fox fans standing up against it not just being embarrassed about it. That's why I still worry that while Leeds fans might have learned not to *behave* like racist scum when going to football - because they know the authorities would ban them, etc - but they've not yet learned not to *be* racist. When I hear as much about 'Leeds Against Racism' as I do about 'Foxes Against Racism', and when leeds fans themselves do the job of cleaning up the minority on waccoe, then maybe I'll change my mind.

What do you suggest then? We tell them off? "Oi, thats naughty, stop thinking that!". Gimme a break, having spoken to these people on WACCOE, I for one know that challenging them on the situation would just increase their behaviour. Theyd give it some more, it'd spurr 'em on. Its called damage limitation. If you wanna go challenge 'em then be my guest, but don't be surprised/offended when it just gets amplified.

Edmund Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Was just reading waccoe. A leicester fan called I fook Foxes (think mods changed his name) in exactly the same position as tony dorigo has come onto there to talk about the game yet his email gets posted by a MOD and banned + the abusive name change. People are now signing him up to gay websites and such. Says it all really Shouldn't the admin be banning them for racism The mods are part of it
A fox for life Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 In 31 pages, no one has yet mentioned the ONE person who had an outstanding game, the ONE person who helped win the game by himself and the ONE person who is our un-sung hero in all this i watched the game back and David Stockdale was amazing made some very imprortant saves, commanded his area and all but 1 kick was perfect (and even that went through to gradel and set up an attack )

Id check back to how he was in December pal.Although yes, you've yet again highlighted a poor and shameful side of WACCOE.

I also loved how he came pegging it all the way down the pitch to celebrate when Big Steve scored
Koke Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I am bored with Leeds. I am too. I'm glad we won't be playing them in the foreseeable future. The bitching from them is getting quite tedious.
Hitesh Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Class... He was amazing!!! Totally took the piss out of their right back! The best bit was when he kicked the ball about 30 yards ahead of him and outran him!
weluv Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Well done leicester, on the day you deserved it and good luck. As for the poster who said we're only the 8th best team, a few recent results: Peterborough (h) W 3-1 Milwall (h) W 2-0 MK Dons (h) W 2-0 S****horpe (h) W 3-2 Oldham (a) D 1-1 Leicester (a) L 1-0 we've beaten every team around us recently, and look by far and away better than them. Playoffs it may be, but for the first time in a long while I'm confident of a promotion. Oh, and Robinson was good when he came on but he's very unfit and slow.
