Isn't it agreed he will be signing in the summer anyway?

Thought on the OS, it said "Brown has signed on loan and will make a permanent switch in the summer"? Something like that.

I think we have the option to sign him permanently in summer, it's not confirmed. I could be wrong.

His distribution is definitely worse than Tunchev's and Hobbs, he never really took the time to play the ball... and I think Hobbs was equally solid yesterday, just not quite so brutally. But he was excellent defensively, superior to Kisnorbo. Very solid, worth signing.

Just wanted to say..

this man is an absolute brick shithouse..

i had a good view of what he did to their strikers today..

he bullied becchio

he tortured dickinson..

in the air, i cant really think of a time when he lost out..

and his verbal contribution was non stop, brilliance....

to be honest a lot about his game reminded me of tunchev..

definately sign him in the summer...

I agree sign him up

His defendings cracking, but i'm still concerned about his passing tbh, hes got to improve that and if he does he'll be a quality player.

true,

he'd be a perfectly acceptable squad member, but against leeds on 3 occasions he passed back to stockdale pretty much from the half way line - very frustrating.

He is an absolute beast. If a mass 22 man brawl occurred, I'd trust us to win the brawl with Brown Sugar knocking people around for fun.

I've heard off a very good source. That he's signed a two year deal or been offered a two year deal. Maybe Knowitall can confirm?

In which case, it signals that 'norbo is on his way.

Wayne Brown wants long-term future at Leicester City

Brown helped the Tigers into the Premier League through the Championship play-offs last season, but then found himself as third-choice centre-back, making just one top-flight appearance and one start in the Carling Cup.

"I've no future there and I've come here to stamp my mark on City," said Brown, who also guided Colchester into the Championship in 2006-07.

"Hull has gone now and it's in the past. I'm a Leicester player and that is all that matters."

Brown would be an excellent mentor to a young defender like Morrison, as well as an excellent partner to Tunchev.

He's been immense in his last two Championship seasons, and could be again for us in the next campaign.

WB definitely needs a song if he's going to be staying. For some reason, having been thinking about Maxi's song (see other thread) it struck me that Brown doesn't have a song or anything. Someone said in a thread recently how good it would be to get back to the habit of singing for each of the players in turn during the pre-match warm-up. How's this for WB? One for the old folkies I guess, as it's to the tune of Dirty Old Town:

You won't get past, he'll stop you all

Many have tried, we watched 'em fall

He's like a rock, he's a fooking brick wall

Brown is exactly the sort of player we have been missing since the days of Walsh, Elliott and Taggs, the man is a giant and seems to scare the life out of some of the forwards he is playing against.

When the chips have been down over the last 2 or 3 seasons I would have put money on this guy being the sort of character to step up and fight back and at least go down fighting unlike many who have played for us and capitulated when the pressure was on.

If his distribuion was better he would, because he has a presence about him and is very vocal, be a good choice for captain, as Oakley doesnt appear to be a natural leader.
