Dan Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Cant see many of these happenng but all of them would be good buys i reckon David Marshall Andrew Surman Matthew Jarvis (loan if he's not playing) John Ostemabor Paul Robinson Simon Cox Lee Croft Nathan Dyer Gregorz Rasiak I can't say I argue with one of them.
Dan Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Just curious, were has Drew Surman come from as a rumour, have i missed something, im certain hes destined for premiership, but hey what do i know. Ever since Southampton went into financial shite i've said we should be going for him cos he'll be cheaper than normal, and a lot have agreed really.
AjcW Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Ever since Southampton went into financial shite i've said we should be going for him cos he'll be cheaper than normal, and a lot have agreed really. Oh absolutely id love him but i think hes more likely to go bigger to be fair.
Dan Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Oh absolutely id love him but i think hes more likely to go bigger to be fair. Yeh same, + true, but hes played under Pearson so he'll know Southampton inside out, personally i'd be shocked if we bought no-one from them this summer.
patterson Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 new keeper mattock tunchev hobbs (sign him) new right back new left wing oakley cleverly(sign him) new right wing beckford simon cox Subs: King, Dyer, Fryatt, Brown (sign), Morrisson, Berner, New Keeper, MAYBE Gilbert as cover Sell: Howard, Powell, N'Gotty, DJ, Hayes, Dickov, Hayles, Henderson, Adams Loan Out: Chambers, Lee Cox, Cisak, Pentley, Gradel, Psssh I think we need someone as tenacious as Savage was when he was younger in the middle, and someone attacking like cleverly would be excellent. Pearson seems to have a good eye for young fresh talent, so i'm looking forward to an exciting season next year!!!
mitchofox Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 What will be good about next season no 1st and 2nd rounds of the FA cup and no JPT
Asha Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Now that were promoted we can look to pre season and transfers yay what i think the team should look like next season.. Stockdale Kerea Gilbert Alexander Tunchev Jack Hobbs (new left back) Dyer Andy King Matt oakley Andy Surman Saganowski Rickie lambert Subs David Martin Wayne Brown Bruno Berner Max Gradel Matty Fryatt Transfers IN Stockdale David Martin Kerrea Gilbert Jack Hobbs Wayne Brown Tom Cleverly (loan if possible) Lee Holmes Andrew Surman Theo Robinson Saganowski Rickie Lambert Simon Cox Transfer OUT Conrad Logan Joe matock Patrick Kisnorbo Barry Hayles Stephan Clemance Dj Campbell Bruno N'gotty Harry Worley Loan OUT Ashley Chambers Ricky Sappelton Carl Pentley Lathanail Rowe-Turner Lee Cox Aman Verma Craig King Luke O'Neil So I take it you don't want Howard to feature at all, yet not sell him...so basically he'd be rotting in the reserves?
act smiley Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 But it's not even had a Barry Hayles x11 gag yet!
Ultra Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Should sign Surman, Cox, Bring back DJ and a couple more. Release about 7 of those crap players we have, Hayles, Dickov etc. DJ won't come back. He'll either be sold or sent out on loan again.
Sods Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 fook that. Get rid now when we can. Pressman Maybury Priet Heath Brevett Low Lewis Gemmill Wilcox Glombard Blake
C-man Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Who cares? Pearson will sort it. What I will say is: Saganowski? Fuck off!
Koke Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Swansea are nailed on getting Nathan Dyer permanently.
carterfox90 Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 nigel should know what players to get from southampton they have some good young players that should be going cheep ( no budgie jokes please )
Unabomber Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Looking forward to seeing his new signings after witnessing how well his signing this season have paid off.
Guest Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I want them to all look as passionate as that, only with Adidas kit
foxaholic Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 On the subject of Clemence... is still injured or is he just a 'non-player' now? Had a mare of a first season, but I dont like the idea of throwing away a player with a solid record like him on the basis of a scketchy season, in the end I'll trust Pearson but I wouldnt like to think we were throwing potentially useful players away (ditto DJ). We would probablly done as well if Clemence and Campbell had played instead of Oakley and Fryatt . I think Campbell has scored 9 in 12 outings for Blackpool who are in a higher division and also struggling and Clemence was player of the year at Birmingham who won the bChampioship . Whilst I agree Pearson has done an excellent job I think most managers would have got us promoted from a very poor league .
jamfox Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 GK - David StockdaleRD - Derek Geary CD - Aleksandar Tunchev CD - Jack Hobbs LD - Djimi Traore RM - Matt Oakley CM - Gavin Mahon CM - Andrew Surman LM - Lloyd Dyer ST - Steve Howard ST - Simon Cox subs David Martin Wayne Brown Max Gradel Rowan Vine Matty Fryatt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFbR4vItHaU maybe not...
leicesterseddon Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 i'd be happy to see fryatt, oakley, king, dyer, hobbs (if his loan is extended/we buy him) and tunchev in the first team next season, and i think this would give us a decent spine to the team, and some continuity between seasons, which we have been lacking for some time. howard, gradel, morrison and berner would be good squad players, pushing to make the first team. unfortunately, i think we'd need new players in quite a few areas to push for a decent mid-table finish next season, particularly on the wing and in the full-back areas. i also feel we need to sign a young(ish) goalkeeper so we can finally do away with this 8-loanees-a-season madness. of the keepers we've had this season, only stockdale insipires any sort of trust for me. keeping the same keeper throughout next season will be a big factor in shoring up our defence against some of the better teams i think. i know we've just been promoted and right now it feels like some of our players are footballing gods compared to the shite they've been up against this season, and that this analysis might seem a little harsh, but i just feel next season will be a struggle unless some fairly harsh decisions are made. i hope we only sign a few players this summer (and not 12 a season as we have been doing for some time), but that we invest in just a handful of higher quality players in crucial areas. i certainly feel this season's team is a helluva lot better than our 07/08 or even 06/07 teams, which were dreadful, and with NP we stand more of a chance than with any of the other clowns we've had over the past few seasons. if we learn from the mistakes we've made again and again, hopefully we'll have a pretty decent team next year
Lillehamring Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 this is my wish list.... daniel fredheim holm that is all. available on a free - skillful, hard working, goalscoring midfielder - no too old, not too young
Guest ttfn Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Bet we only make 3-4 signings close season plus Hobbs and possibly Gilbert. I'd be happy with a new centre forward, a ball winning midfielder, a keeper (maybe Stockdale) and a versatile full back. We've got 92 points this season. We need to build this steadily, not sign 10-15 players. What happened last time we did that? Also what sort of message does that send out to the players who got us promoted? New Keeper Gilbert Hobbs Tunchev Berner/Mattock Gradel/Oakley Oakley/ hard nut centre mid King Dyer Howard Fryatt subs: new Striker (Cox/Harewood ideally) Berner/Mattock Hard nut centre mid/Gradel Another new keeper Brown That side should be good enough to get us into the top half, if well managed.
