AjcW Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 I was surprised when reading wikipedia that Jack has only played three u19 games for England and this season didn't obtain any call ups to the u20 or u21 squads. To be fair if Joe Mattock can get into both the u20 and u21 squads this season, Jack should be a shoe in for the summer internationals. It makes me wonder if the likes of Stewart pierce and Brian Eastick select players on hype, and what they here through the football circuits, instead of going to watch the talent. I really hope jack gets his chance during the summer, either with the u20 or at the u21 euro championships as i think he deserves it after a fantastic season, were he took over from a man who has been capped over 30 times for bulgaria and did just as good a job. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Hobbs_(footballer)

Salieri Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 There are a lot of good young centre backs around, but on the basis of how he's performed this season, I agree that he fully deserves a call up to the under 20 or under 21 squads. Obviously i'm biased but he could be a full international in the future in my opinion.
