Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 First of all I know how far fetched this might sound, but I hope people realise that I'm not one to make up rumours and that I wouldn't post this unless I felt it was worth posting. I'll have no worries about this being deleted though, I am aware of how "football-rumours" it all sounds. My mate's sister's boyfriend players for the academy (this is true), in the age bracket below the under 18s (I will give his name to those interested just to prove that this is an actual contact - just PM me). He was out last night with Andy King, Joe Mattock, Luke O'Neill, Paul Henderson, Johnny Hayes, Lathaniel Rowe-Turner and Billy Kee (I think). I got talking to him about City and for some reason asked him whether or not Kisnorbo was staying next season or not. Apparently he's definately leaving, and has been training with the academy, in the same age group as this lad. I asked about Cleverley and Gilbert, apparently the pair of them are 80%/20% in favour of signing, Gilbert on a perm, and Cleverley on a loan. He got this information on Friday night, where he was at the stadium and celebrating with the players. Henderson is also off. Don't know where. And apparently, Luke O'Neill has come on leaps and bounds in terms of development this season. Expect him to start some games next season. Again, I am aware that this may sound a little "I saw X in Y", so I'll have no probalems with people questioning it. I'm not too sure about the source, though, last night was the first night I've properly spoken to him. It's not knowitall strength knowledge but I thought it was worth posting.
Samilktray Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 I definetly should of gone Liquid last night. Definetly.
Libertine Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Cheers Samuel. You're not one to make stuff up, so people should believe you!
Matt Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 I think you will be believe more over some people because of the amount of post's you have behind you, also it's not alot different to what we have already heard anyway! Cheers for the info anyway, and keep us informed if you hear anymore.
Teeno Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Spoke to Kisbnorbo last Monday and when I asked if he was staying his reply was "No mate, I've been told I'm not good enough"
Granno Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Spoke to Kisbnorbo last Monday and when I asked if he was staying his reply was"No mate, I've been told I'm not good enough" Someone had to break it to him...
Guest Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Spoke to Kisbnorbo last Monday and when I asked if he was staying his reply was"No mate, I've been told I'm not good enough" Bit harsh, but clearly Nige is gonna do things his way and if he doesn't figure in his plans for city then so be it. Pity, Kis has been generally good for us but I think most of us trist Nige to do what he thinks is best in terms of transfers
SamL Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Sounds very promising. Cleverley is exactly what we've been missing in recent years, he provides great energy and flair into the midfield. Albeit only a loan signing, he'd be a decent addition to our squad for next season. Gilbert was Mr. Consistent throughout most of this season. Rarely put a foot wrong and like Cleverley, would provide a decent addition to our squad for next season. I hope the 5-6 players Mandaric was looking at doesn't include the players we're re-signing from this year.
Simi Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Can't say the Kisnorbo news worries me, good news if anything. Hobbs and Tunchev will be first choice and how many other teams will have the same sort of depth we have in that posistion with Morrison and Brown? Gilbert and Cleverley would be both be well worth it. Keeping as much of this seasons squad together as we can is important. Having a squad that know each other well and have a winning mentality is important to success. Look at Peterborough have done with that also the likes of Swansea.
Thracian Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 I seriously hope that no-one asks for the name. If anyone is lucky enough to get inside information about players it really isn't a good idea for the club to learn the source. And Pearson will find out if he wants to, make no mistake. He doesn't strike me as a bloke to get on the wrong side of in any circumstances, much less if you're a youngster trying to make an impression. And managers are notoriously sensitive when news about potential signings gets out before any deal has been done.
Shroomjuice Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 All true I spoke to Kisnorbo for about 10 mins, he is off says Pearson does not rate him. Also spoke to Hendo and Logan, what a pair of pricks, no real time for us whilst Kisnorbo was happy to have dance and have his photo taken etc top bloke.
General Smuts Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Lying bastard. 1. Why was your mate's sisters boyfriend, an under 18, out in town? 2. What the fook is Paul Henderson doing out on the piss with kids half his age?
Shroomjuice Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 They were all out in liquid last night, photos to prove it.
Bluefoxtim Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 1. Why was your mate's sisters boyfriend, an under 18, out in town?2. What the fook is Paul Henderson doing out on the piss with kids half his age? Cos he's coooooooool
Tevez Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 All of the academy lads are allowed in Liquid for free and to jump in the cue. Even if they are under age. Fact.
leftsideoverhere Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Trivial, but I spoke briefly to Kerrea after the game on Friday as he, and the others, were signing autographs. Firstly, he is just a top bloke - signed autographs for ages despite his arm being in a sling, and chatted, had photos done and everything, and he wasn't even playing. Just further evidence of what a star he is, for those who didn't figure it out at / before Southend. He said he would love to play here next season, and he was 'hoping' something would work out.
lcfc_jme Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Kerrea will be here next season depending on the Benjamins he's offered - Palarse away info. Fackt. Good news about Clev, though I could always see it happening as he enjoyed himself here and was getting regular games. Yanited will see it as he's probably going to be a regular starter and will get first-team experience at a higher level. Kisnorbo leaving. Oh well. He's a top bloke and all, but that doesn't mean he isn't a jinx to our team. MTWG - Hero.
eaststandtom Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Spoke to Kisbnorbo last Monday and when I asked if he was staying his reply was"No mate, I've been told I'm not good enough" kisnorbo has returned to the team twice this season and just upset the balance. morrison and hobbs were either dropped or moved position unneccersarily for kisnorbo. good luck to him. he is a decent championship defender i think but our defence has set some high standards this season for young lads and should be allowed to continue developing. if that menas kisnorbo going then so be it cant say either gilbert or cleverly signing on would be amazing news for me. decent players but surely there are better options and we will need better options for the championship?
