Chelsea v Barca/United v Arse

I can't understand why so many of you are up the arses of either of these teams, they all have faults, they're all got an arrogance about them, they all lack humility.

It seems like you'd rather be supporting them than LCFC, some of you certainly seem as biased and as vindictive as many of their fans.

Me I couldn't care less who wins as long as there's a decent match to watch.

I agree. I really fail to comprehend the hatred towards Arsenal. I watch top flight football for entertainment, and Arsenal are the ones who consistently provide it.

I couldn't care less about either team. But since Manure have more glory hunting fanboys I wanted Arsenal to win.

A slip from a inexperienced defender and a dive to win a free kick, better than Barcelona yes but different class. lol

Oh, sorry, me and my mouth again. Forgot you were Mr pundit. :P

How very sad that you mention Barca, the fact that you mentioned them and nobody else shows how much you rate them deep down.

It always amazes me how many of you become Chelsea/United/Liverpool fans and actually go mental when they score, should be embarrassed really.

Who does this?

Yeah, a slip i'll grant you. But it looked a certain foul to me (i'll gladly look again though) for the second, followed by a fantastic shot.

Since then, the passing and interplay of Man United's has been brilliant. Yes, different class. Arsenal haven't been able to cope at all.

I don't care what sport/match i'm watching, i'll always end up rooting for one or the other.

I do rate Barca, fantastic team like United, I'm just drawing on the fact their similarly a bunch of divers.

Oh and this ref is worse than those in League One.

Thay do have the advantage of a 3 goal cushion enabling them to relax with the pressure off. I'm sure if Arsenal were 3-0 up you'd see them playing with a similar arrogance. :dunno:

Same here, I stuggle and don't watch a match if it has no interest for me, I'll admit I hate Arsenal, and Chelsea (Didn't mind Chelsea until someone I know started being twatty about Leicester - When he comes from Leicester, and then became a real twat saying Chelsea were the best, blah, blah, blah, when he actually knew fook all about football, history of the game, i'd been to Stamford Bridge more than he has, e.t.c), and to some extent I 'support' whoever play's Arsenal, I would go out my way to do that but if i'm watching the game.

Another example the Snooker the other day - I was supporting Selby (1 he's from and supports Leicester, 2 I like his play) when he got knocked out I lost the interest in watch the championships.

The ones who are cheering for Manure now will be the same ones who will moan when they win the CL and all their gloryhunting fanboys come out of the woodwork.

That's fair enough but from the language on here about the respective teams that's not the case with everyone. As I say there's a nasty vindictiveness about some people overriding whatever football is being played.

I'd much sooner see a more balanced game with both teams still in with an equal chance of winning it.

Every team has an element of play acting though. It annoys me when it happens, but it seems the norm in the modern game. I think in terms of football on song, United and Barcelona must be the best two in the world. Well in my opinion anyway.

lol Hardly.

Try not to listen to the Arsenal fans.

I'm sure we would, but it seems like everytime I watch United they play with the same style.

TBH, I won't be too bothered, Its the Chelsea gloryhunters that get on my nerves they just don't seem to shut up, Maybe for me personally it's not too bad because the only Man Utd fan I know is actually a fan (Ok, he doesn't go to many/any games) but at least he knows his knowledge, he understands the game, he has passion and actually supports his team, and you don't want to be with him if United have lost, so although he doesn't go to games, he is the only 'gloryhunting fan' I can respect and have a decent chat about football with.

Normally my major problem with gloryhunters is they don't go to games - How can they be a fan or support them, but at the same time most gloryhunters don't know fook all about the game or the team they support (In my experience) with the Man Utd fan I know this is totally different.

You've just proved my point - all this I hate so and so - what's the point?

As for your reason for hating Chelsea so much - I would suggest seeing psychiatrist. :P

Supporting Selby is completely different and bears no relationship to your hate for Arsenal and Chelsea.

I'd expect these threads to be all about the football being played not full of 'fook off Arsenal' type comments.

I really don't get it :dunno:

I agree with those points, but out of the four teams left United and Barca play act more than the other two imo, and that, plus personal preference anyway, has encouraged me to want an Arsenal-Chelsea final.

I'm not really that impressed as some people are though with that first half from United, capitalised on two errors, one from Gibbs and one from the ref, and have really just packed the midfield and defence out. Workmanlike and good enough but nowhere near brilliant imo.

I dunno, that's you view I suppose. Many people would be doing the same if Arsenal were winning but about Man Utd - I know that isn't your point, your point is you don't understand or agree with the comments.

And I know the Selby comment didn't have anything to do with hatred of Arsenal/Chelsea/Other club's, but it was in response to lildave's post about having to pick someone to support no matter what sport/match.

I've rarely heard more biased and pathetic commentary. Barely a word of praise for United who have taken a chance and a half brilliantly, been tactically miles ahead and posed all the goal threat there has been.

Almunia might have been deceived but that free kick was awesome and I'd like to have seen how the commentator fared trying to stop it. And as for the referee's decision it was a foul, plain and simple.

I felt for Gibbs who simply slipped because he was forced to turn quickly by the speed of Ronaldo's break butPark still stayed cool to clip the ball home and it was United who were forever trying to break at pace and have a go at goal.

Arsenal were all sideways passing and no penetration. They've carried very little threat, won few of the physical clashes and, apart from the opening five minutes or so have been secondbest in most every phase.

Four goals to come back? Everything is possible in football but Arsenal are no Liverpool and simply don't have the firepower to pull Unioted to pieces often enough.

It's only banter at the end of the day, and as others of said I'd much rather watch sport where I'm wanting one side or another to win. We all support Leicester, that's hardly in question, but these games only lasts 90 minutes and it just makes it a lot more interesting with the banter and a willing for someone to win.

Yeah they were a bit biased, but I think it was more due to sympathy towards Arsenal & Gibbs really. Man Utd have definitely been better, but two quick goals will make any team shell shocked, let alone a young Arsenal side.

lol

Can't argue that Man Yoo have been by far the better team and deserve their lead but pull the other one on the commentary! Tyldesley practically masturbates on air whenever Man Yoo are on the box, it's vomit-inducing.

Anyway, bit of a shame but not important in the grand scheme of things. I'll be properly upset if Chelsea win tomorrow. Premier League fan boys at the ready, that's the big one.
