purpleronnie Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 I just cant see Barca not scoring in two games, but we'll see.
lavrentis Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Anyone using a decent stream? Pretty decent using Sopcast. It was being gay earlier but seems to be fine now. sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/10912
Joe. Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 United in control really, looking good for their lead really. Almunia's been forced into at least two good saves already, and Arsenal are offering very little in support. This isn't helped though when one of your most dangerous players in Walcott seems to turn backwards everytime he gets the ball instead of attacking the full back.
Tilley Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Arsenal play some lovely stuff, but get no where. If it wasn't for Almunia it would be 3 or 4. Come on Arsenal!
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Spot on Andy Gray, have to agree with him there. The big names in these last two nights have been out shadowed by the players we don't talk about as much. This game hasn't been anything special at all. Decent at best. I am pleased United are winning though, I don't mind them at all.
Tilley Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 I think Arsenal will take 1-0. It really should be 4 or 5.
Samilktray Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 This has been alot better than the Barca bore fest and there rolling around on the floor tactics.
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Agreed. They can score at their place. So 1-0 isn't a bad result at all. If it stays this way.
Tilley Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Wenger will be the happiest of the two managers, that's for sure.
Joe. Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 1. Fair result really on the balance of play in my opion. Arsenal didn't really pose much of a threat as expected, and Fabregas and Walcott were particularly disappointing all night. United should be able to hold on and grab a 0-0 or 1-0 at the Emirates. 2. Bendtner - I really don't know what Wenger sees in him to think he warrants a place in an Arsenal side. I'm not just talking about tonight, just in general. He's really not very good. 3. Gibbs - I thought he'd get absolutely murdered by Ronaldo tonight after seeing him torn apart by Liverpool a couple of weeks ago, but to be fair he held his own very well tonight and was probably Arsenal's second best player behind Almunia tonight. 4. Anderson - Seriously, what am I missing here?
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Ties are very open. It is going to be tense. But I think we are looking at a repeat of last years final.
Tilley Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Ties are very open. It is going to be tense. But I think we are looking at a repeat of last years final. Unfortunately, me too.
Thracian Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Ronaldo really should have scored iwth his close range header and I'd have loved to see that dipper go in instead of leaving the crossbar trembling like an informer waiting to be kneecapped. I felt a bit for Giggsy too. Great run, well taken chance and he looked just about level when he set off. It typified a feast of footballing entertainment in contrast to the tactical bore draw inflicted on us by Chelsea last night. I don't see why Wenger would be particularly happy. Arsenal didn't score and I don't see them stopping United scoring at the Emirates either. But when was football ever predictable?
Stevosevic Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Not too bothered who gets through, but sick of going to the pub with 100s of plastic fans. Arsenal fan - "don't know how Giggs got player of the year" United fan - " did he really?"
Ultra Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Wenger will be the happiest of the two managers, that's for sure. I'm not sure. United have proved during their unbeaten run in this competition (now at 24 matches) that they can score at all types of venues. The Emirates will hold no fears for Rooney, Ronaldo & co.

Yes, but it could have been much more than one. I think that is what Tilley was getting at. However, Fergie will be delighted that Arsenal didn't get an away goal, although they didn't look likely to snatch one all night.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 United to win tonight, would like to see Arsenal make it entertaining though.
Joe. Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 United to win again tonight, with Arsenal not scoring. Another 1-0 I reckon.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Would love Arsenal to win, especially with a controversial decision going their way.
purpleronnie Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 If Chelsea manage to stop Barca scoring again it will be one of the best performances ever. I just cant see it I'll go for 1-1. I fancy utd to get a draw at Arsenal too. So it will make my dream final Barca v Utd (Probably end up being rubbish)
Ultra Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 With Henry unlikely to play tomorrow the balance has tipped slightly towards Chelsea. I'll go for a repeat of last year's final.
