DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Surely we should be looking at bringing in some premiership fringe players. One that instantly comes to mind is Tom Cleverley. There must be others, plus a couple of wise old heads from the top clubs who have now been overtaken by rising stars. Premiership experience at high level over the years brings an essential ingredient into a successful and positively determined club.
Jimmy Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Henri Landsbury and the lad Derby had from Arsenal Barazite wouldn't be bad loan signings

AjcW Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 I've never been common... my real name is Rupert Gerald Smithe-Barnes. Ohhhh that explains babylon then......
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 LANSBURY I hope it annoyed you as much as it did me.
Ultra Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 kanu and sol campell are free agents Don't need either of them.. We need young, hungry players desperate to prove they can cut it in the Premier League, not has-beens looking for one last payday.
FilboFox Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Kanu and Campbell... no thanks. Both are past it and wouldn't give there all to our cause. As has been said, we need young hungry players who want to achieve more with this club... not just last 1 last season a la Dickov... I seem to remember saying that about him when he came here last year.
MPH Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 I wonder if people actually realise the difference in wages between the prem and the championship? if we want experienced pros the only way we would be able to afford them is if they really were coming to the end of their career... 32 -33+ any younger and we can really forget it- we either need lil starlets like Cleverly or ageing pros who will get slated for being old if they even have one bad performance. im actually thinking we need experienced championship players as that will be the division we are trying to get out of... EDIT: and when i say experienced from the championship im talking 27-30..
