Ozwin Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Basically one of these bad boys: http://www2.svenskafans.com/barcelona/bild...sMelin/tifo.jpg I reckon it'd be awesome, I'm not sure if we still have the City flag that goes around the kop before games (havn't been to a game for a long while, season ticket next season though!) but something like this would be wicked to kick start a bit of atmosphere prior to a game and for the start of the season even. I have no idea how it'd be organised, it looks like a mamoth task to get right but just imagine it on a dark Tuesday's night of football, blues and whites and a massive message lighting up the kop (or anywhere really), striking fear into the opposition's fans and players! We'd look like right ultras haha!

We'd look like right ultras haha! Passively holding up pieces of card to make a picture doesn't strike me as something to strike fear into the opposition's fans and players. As for looking like the Ultras more like an FA, FL or club manipulated tribute to their own self importance. Count me out! Come on feel the noise Girls rock your boys We'll get wild, wild, wild! Attempts to recreate the phenomenon in England, at places like Swindon and Palace, have been beyond embarassing.

iancognito Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 I thought about the big flags that used to be dragged from one end of the Kop to another the other day, I think United had one at one of their games and it looked fantastic. Holding up cards wouldn't catch on, a lot of people wouldn't bother or they'd hold them the wrong way round or just make aeroplanes out of them. It's right up there with handing out flags and scarves to supporters to create colour and atmosphere. Did Arsenal and Chelsea a lot of good this week didn't it
