teblin Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Miller Meanwhile, Liam Miller is being tracked by a posse of Championship clubs after parting company with QPR.The 28-year-old, who spent only a short time at Loftus Road after joining the wealthy Londoners from Sunderland in January, spent last week training with Cork City in order to maintain his fitness ahead of international duty. Preston have already expressed an interest, while Cardiff are also in the frame, along with Nottingham Forest and newly promoted Leicester City.
Ultra Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Didn't even know he'd been at QPR. The fact he failed to break into a mediocre Championship side does not convince me he could do a job for us.

I didn't either. I trust Big Nige though and he's proven he can cut it at a higher level before, but as we already have Oakley and Clemence who are proven at a higher level and yet struggled with us in the championship, do we need another with question marks over their current ability?

He made leigterwood look like gatusso. A very very poor signing, can't run and pass at the same time, has to stop and look up."
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 I always thought he was good at Sunderland, and I would like to have him in the squad
dandannieldanok Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 I think Liam Miller would be a cracking signing personally.
Dan Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Well its one of two reasons QPR have released him: a) He's not good enough - Don't bother b) His wage demands are too high - If they can't afford it who the fook can Wouldn't do it tbh.

Dan Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 c) He doesn't like it there? Good point but really we can do better.
General Smuts Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Good point but really we can do better. Like Chris Powell.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Good point but really we can do better. He's always looked useful whenever I've seen him.
Dan Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 He's always looked useful whenever I've seen him. Liam Miller or Andrew Surman?
dandannieldanok Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Liam Miller or Andrew Surman? Surman has just been relegated and no matter what anyone says about the rest of team, if he's as good as everyone on here makes out then Saints should have done better.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Liam Miller or Andrew Surman? Why would I be talking about Surman in a Miller thread?
Hitesh Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Wouldn't mind Kenny Miller actually. Seconded but doubt that will happen!
Dan Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Why would I be talking about Surman in a Miller thread? I'm just saying we can do better than Liam Miller.
Tuna Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 I don't think NP is the type of manager to sign someone who is on a downward spiral. Miller's fall from his days at Man United has been spectacular. When he signed he was touted as the next Roy Keane. Can't believe he is now 28. Anyway, I don't think he'll offer anything to us and we can surely do a lot better.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 May 2009 Posted 21 May 2009 Better than Charlie Miller. Lies all lies The big fella is still getting about. Yes that is the snoz tiatto in the background
