Darkzzz_ Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 I can't help but like Lamby but I think he has had one to many spirits this evening. I'm going now.
Lamby Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Search John Edwards on youtube and Colin Fry if you dont believe me
Vacamion Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Not a shred of scientifically verifiable evidence. Not one shred. Just like UFOs, God and mind reading. Human beings are wired to make patterns out of things they see. Anyone who is convinced they have seen a ghost just allowed their brain to tell them they saw a ghost.
Mikey Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Yes, as a spiritualist I can see the spirits sometimes. My uncle can talk to them and touch them You're joking right?
Tomassi Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 How do you explain this then... Mate complains of people running up the stairs when its queit, yet when he goes to tell his other house mates off, no ones in. The upstairs room which was too small as an adults bedroom was used as a utility room, despite central heating it was always cold. Me and my ex went round to see my mate and my ex sees a little girl in the utility room and ''communicates'' with her. told my ex her name is charlotte. We do a bit of research into the property my mate lived at. Turns out a girl called Charlotte lost her life in that room due to an outbreak of Tuberculosis that happened in Leicester 1901. Pure Coincidence??

Finnegan Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 The whole "I hear people running around upstairs!" one is amongst the most common alleged ghost claim. Almost everyone I've ever heard this from lives in either a terraced or only semi-detached house and seems to be under the odd belief that their neighbours never make noise.
J.Lisemore Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 I always laugh when 'Most Haunted' comes on the tele. Silly people.
AmericanScott Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 When i was a little kid (about 3) i was in a room in my house playing with some toy cars and what not. I remember the tv screen turning blue and this face appearing on the wall in front of me. The face was of a man in a ski mask. The image is still fresh in my mind today and can't figure out who it was or why it appeared. My mom remembers me screaming and running towards her. I don't remember much after it but apparently i never set foot in that room again. We eventually moved from that house. So because of that, i keep an open mind about ghosts. shen Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Ghosts don't exist. The end.I'm open minded to all sorts of phenomina but we've been on the planet for thousands of years and we're constantly obsessed with discovering what's what and explaining the unexplained. If ghosts were real we'd know by now. Fact. I understand what you mean, but who are you to say what is real or what isn't? Afterall, strictly speaking, you don't have a clue what's real or not as you depend solely on your senses and your rational thought to make out what is 'real'. What might be reality to you might not be someone elses reality. I've not had any ghost experience, but I've no reason to dismiss the existence of them. It seems odd that human kind has had this idea about spirits leaving bodies upon death for thousands of years and still persists to this day.

Stayed in a cottage in Devon for a week about eight years ago and we had a graveyard in our back garden . 'pparently there was some girl sobbing and crying at the bottom of the stairs every night.

shen Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Im actually starting to get genuinly freaked out Now while I can tolerate people believing in ghosts, I don't understand why people are instinctively afraid of ghosts. I've never heard any stories of ghosts being threatening or scary-looking
Brainy Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 There's a picture I have of a house near me where there's a group of girls partying, having their picture taken. Yet there's a little girl (alive and kicking little girl) who's crying in the corner of the picture. Can't remember how I heard this but apparently she kept getting pinched by something/one. On the other side of the photo is some kind of face. I'll try and find it and upload it.

It seems odd that human kind has had this idea about spirits leaving bodies upon death for thousands of years and still persists to this day. Well now you're getting into the realms of philosophy, perception and reality. Which is fair enough I guess but that doesn't really make the point any more plain from where I - and the majority - stand. There are millions of great minds on the planet and probably the single two biggest questions raised by humanity as a whole, through all of time, are "where did we come from?" and "where are we going?" Do you really believe that if ghosts were a phenomina as common as people make out we'd not have spent billions researching the deeper meanings? Official institutes would be all over the possibility that there's life-after-death, trying to work out the ins and outs of what it means to be seeing spirits of the departed. Incidently they're not - and moreover, the majority of avid ghost fanatics are either completely bonkers or rather simple minded. I don't, ultimately, see a coincidence in that. We've been recording history for thousands of years and the only pieces of real "evidence" we have to suggest ghosts might be real are a few tricks of the light that oh-so-coincidentally come from an era where photography was seriously underdeveloped. I love how it's 2009, the era of the megapixel, and suddenly shocking, impossible-to-explain photographs of spirits are no longer common-place. Or are likely computer generated for the sakes of creeping people out over the internet (see the below.) The brain is a wonderful and complex thing and I think some of the likely causes of "ghost" phenomina are probably sensationally interesting in their own right - but as psychological incidents, not as ectoplasm and lank-haired Japanese girls. That's just a common "SHIT BRIX" internet picture and a likely wind up.
lildave3 Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Sorry but....where am I looking? Look at the chubby ugly one's right leg.
Finnegan Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Sorry but....where am I looking? Keep looking. As the saying goes "When you see it, you'll shit bricks!"
Brainy Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Look at the chubby ugly one's right leg. They're all chubby and ugly?
