shen Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Sure, but I think there are times you have to use your common sense and just say "well, alright, that's a bit far fetched."I mean there's a certain level of hypocrisy to it, really. If I were to try and convince half the people in this thread that vampires or witches existed they'd likely laugh in my face (or perhaps not now, just to spite me ) - but what's the difference? Probably just as many people claim to be witches, occultists, or cursing voodoo priests around the world as do claim to have seen a ghost. They're still bonkers. I'm with you on all of that. I'm highly sceptical of all such stories. But I can't help but think that if it happened (e.g. a very convincing experience) to me, I'd refuse to think I'm bonkers. But no matter what I said, the rest of the world would most likely think that I was.
Babylon Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 When we die if we come back to 'wander' we wouldn't be able to magic ourselves a nice outfit to wear. I'm coming back in top hat and tails.
Edmund Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Also how come you never hear of hauntings by bin men. Now that would shit me up waking up and seeing a man in a high viz and black bag around his shoulder.
CosbehFox Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I regularly visit one of Leicester's most haunted buildings and I have yet to see one. However, I've seen plenty of scallywags up there.
Milky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 How do you qualify to be a ghost? Surely not everyone who has ever died has become a ghost. You wouldn't be able to move for them.

Guest Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 What building is this? Belgrave Hall, I bet. I went there once and saw a woman in fancy dress on the stairs, and she spoke to me. I thought my mates were trying to wind me up when they said I was making it up. I wasn't. Then when I saw Most Haunted, that Acorah tosser claimed he saw the ghost of a woman on the same set of stairs.

Guest Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 People die. they get buried. they rot in ground. no heaven, no hell, no god. end of. Pah! samlcfc Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Bit skeptical about all this ghost stuff but me and my mum were having a laugh recently about some weird stuff in my house. She said when my sister was younger she reckons she saw someone in her room during the night although i reckon that kind of stuff is imagination and my brother reckons someone got in his bed when he was younger paedo of a ghost. When I was younger though, couldnt explain it but it scared me shitless haha, i was in the extension on our house and had my bedroom in the roof. I woke up about 1 in the morning and it sounded like someone was hitting my roof with a sledgehammer moved out of the room the next day . Recently I was sitting in bed watching TV aswell and It felt like someone smacked me round the head proper hard, dunno if theres some kind of muscle in the head that can make it feel like youve been smacked aha. Plus the last few weeks we keep hearing banging downstairs during the night and someone keeps turning our thermostat right down. Probably can be explained but as of yet unexplained so thought Id whack it in here I saw something proper weird before but that was at somebody elses house

StanSP Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 I saw something proper weird before but that was at somebody elses house Share anyway
samlcfc Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Share anyway Was round a mates house and we were sitting outside his house about 8pm. We were sat around this round table with my mate and his dad facing towards me and the garden and I was facing the wall of his house. There was no light outside to cast a shadow from anywhere and the sun had already gone down. We were sat there talking and a jet black shadow of a person standing appeared on the wall clearly defined. It was stood with its feet like shoulder width apart as if it was facing me so clearly a person. It side stepped across the wall once and then dissapeared. I don't expect anyone to believe it cause i probably wouldnt tbh and It cant be backed up by anyone But I cant explain it and it was so clear and in the centre of my vision so i dont believe i imagined it

It was on his house wall in his back garden and no one was standing up. good theory though
Jimothy Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 About 6 years ago we had 2 cats at my Mums house. It was just after my Nanna had died and we hadn't bothered filling the dishwasher, so the work surface was strewn with pots, and behind those pots was a huge 3kg bag of cat biscuits. When we woke up the next morning the cat biscuits were in the middle of the living room floor. There is no way one of the cats could have dragged the biscuits themselves because a) they were too heavy and b) they would have had to have lifted them over the pots, or invented some form of pully system otherwise all the pots would have been knocked onto the floor. I suppose people will say it could have been one of us sleepwalking or something, and that is a possibility, but non of us have a history of it and nothing remotely simular has happened since, and you would think if we one of did sleepwalk it would have happened at least once more.

Pully system . wouldn't have though you'd be sleep walking. I'd expect that you still make some sort of mess. My brother used to sleep walk and of hardly call what he did strategic aha
CosbehFox Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 What building is this? Belgrave Hall and Braunstone Hall. Very spooky but never seen a thing.
Wycombe Fox Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 The local ombudsman Funnily enough, that's exactly what I was thinking. Who's the last person you'd call? Probably Derek Acorah.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 They're both council owned properties, let them sort it out. Get Ultra on it
Big Ol' Bob Posted 26 January 2010 Author Posted 26 January 2010 Just realised I actually started this thread, still haven't seen anything though.
