FAO BNP Voters (And BNP Haters)

I know that there are loads of BNP threads, but there is so much info in this one that I felt it deserved one for itself. Feel free to move or delete if inappropriate.

NB: this is shamelessly stolen from another forum, not my own work. However, you should ALL get to see this

According to the BNP...

The British National party is urging its members not to set up official party blogs in the run-up to this year's European elections because "they can't write proper English" and "get carried away with conspiracy theories", according to a leaked internal guide for senior party activists.

The handbook says that some BNP members are "oddballs", "Walter Mitty characters", "compulsive liars" and "born troublemakers", and advises activists: "If you hear something odd or unpleasant about someone either forget about it or ask them about it to their face."

Polling experts believe that the far-right party, led by Nick Griffin, has a chance of picking up its first seats in the European parliament in the June elections.

The handbook states that "while we cannot stop individuals using the internet ... the BNP does not allow members or units to run websites or blogs which use the BNP logo or party name in their title, or which give the impression of being official BNP operations". Instead, members are advised to "set up political sites which appear to be totally independent of any political party, including ours".

The guide says that these "apparently independent sites exposing the wrongdoings and failings of the old parties and making subtly favourable reference to the BNP, will be much more attractive and convincing to the wider public than sites which are clearly ours".

The document was leaked to the anti-racist group Searchlight, which said: "Everyone knows the BNP is comprised of troublemakers, oddballs and liars, but it's surprising to see them being described like that in their own training manual."

Here are some BNP members

November 2008 Ian Hindle

Jailed for three years for having sex with a child

November 2008 Andrew Wells

Jailed for two years and three months after admitting engaging in sexual activity with a child and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

June 2007 Robert Bennett

Robert Bennett, the convicted gang rapist who oversaw the BNP leafletting campaign in Oldham in 2002, is arrested for his part in a assault on his next door neighbour which began when they ask his son David to leave a BBQ after he began using racist language

March 2007 David Copeland

The Appeal Court increases David Copeland's sentence to a minimum of 50 years. The London nail bomber, who had been an active member of the BNP, had originally been sentenced to a minimum term of 30 years for the three bombs he set off in 1999 which killed three people and injured 139 others.

February 2007 John Laidlaw

John Laidlaw is sentenced to life after going on a shooting spree in north London in May 2006.... In October 2004 he attacked a black motorist, hurling racist abuse at him. A police report written after Laidlaw was arrested for the attack said he behaved violently in front of officers and was "foaming at the mouth". "In the presence and hearing of the black female gaoler the defendant made racist comments and remarks, stating he was a member of the BNP and that he hated all black people,"

January 2007 Mark Bulman

Mark Bulman was jailed for five years for setting fire to Swindon's Broad Street mosque. He used a BNP leaflet as a fuse for his petrol bomb.

December 2006 Richard Mulhall

Richard Mulhall, the BNP's council group leader in Calderdale, was sentenced to do 200 hours of unpaid work on four counts of benefit fraud.

July 2006 Allen Boyce

The former National Front Remembrance Day parade bugler Allen Boyce, 73, now a BNP supporter, receives a two-year suspended sentence for giving bomb-making instructions to Terry Collins, a BNP member, who was sentenced to five years in 2005 for conducting a racist hate campaign against the Asian community in Eastbourne.

February 2006 Stephen Bailey

Stephen Bailey, a Lincoln BNP activist, is convicted of 35 charges of criminal damage and 19 of arson. He set fire to sheds, litter bins and a car and is believed to have vandalised more than 80 cars by slashing tyres and damaging bodywork

November 2005 Roderick Rowley

Roderick Rowley, a former BNP candidate in Coventry, is imprisoned for 15 months after admitting 14 charges of making, distributing or possessing obscene images of children. He is also ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years.

May 2005 Karl Hanson

Karl Hanson is fined £400 for possessing heroin and crack cocaine. News of his arrest broke a few days before the May 2005 local elections in which he was a BNP candidate in Huddersfield.

March 2005 Terry Collins

Terry Collins, a BNP member, is sentenced to five years in prison for a year-long campaign of terror against Asian families in Eastbourne. He claims the BNP "brainwashed" him. Collins, a former Territorial Army soldier, admitted charges of arson, racially aggravated harassment and criminal damage. He also admitted the possession of bullets found in his home and asked for 11 further offences of racially aggravated criminal damage to be taken into account.

Here are some BNP councillors

BNP councillors have been elected on the promise to be different. Criticising the ‘old gang’, the BNP has benefited from being considered a “new” party. However, the shine appears to be already slipping from their political machine.

In every area where there are BNP candidates voters have been let down. The performance of BNP councillors reveals a shocking list of incompetence, absence and general indifference.

Most BNP councillors rarely participate in council business, regularly skip meetings and ignore requests for help from local people.

The BNP currently have just 20 councillors, out of a national total of over 8,000, yet the majority of even this small number have failed. They include the ‘Dirty Dozen’:

Luke Smith (Burnley). Was forced to resign after he smashed a bottle into the face of a Leeds BNP organiser. Despite claiming to be the party of law and order, the BNP failed to call in the police and press charges. Smith had only recently been convicted of football violence when he was elected as a BNP candidate. He has had several more recent convictions and was sentenced to 11 months imprisonment after being caught fighting in Manchester.

Brian Turner (Burnley). Was convicted of attacking his wife and a police officer whilst a councillor yet the BNP refused to disown him. In fact they even defended him by issuing a statement saying: “we are not in the business of persecuting our members because the state considers someone guilty.”

Dan Kelley (Barking & Dagenham). Resigned from the council only eight months after being elected after admitting that he was completely out of his depth. “There’s meetings that go right over my head and there’s little point in me being there,” he told the local paper even before he resigned.

Richard Mulhall (Calderdale). Is currently facing charges on housing benefit fraud. Despite this the BNP has refused to disown him or demand his resignation if he is found guilty.

Maureen Stowe (Burnley). Left the BNP after admitting that they deliberately told lies to get elected. On leaving the BNP she said: “This is the best thing I could have done. I’ve got a chance to do a lot of good. Now I think we can pull all the people of Burnley together to improve things for everybody. I keep asking myself how could I have been so stupid as to have anything to do with them.”

Robin Evans (Blackburn). Left the BNP after complaining about the drug dealers and football hooligans who dominated his local BNP branch. He also criticised the Burnley BNP councillors as useless.

David Watkins (Sandwell). Dubbed ‘possibly the worst councillor in Sandwell,’ Watkins attended just 10 out of 63 meetings. Gave up after just one year.

Steve Batkin (Stoke-on-Trent). Steve Batkin attended none of a possible thirty committee meetings in the nine months to March 2005. Batkin has only spoken twice in his first two years as a councillor and one of those was to ask what “abstain” meant. Was once told to stop talking to the media after he questioned key facts relating to the Holocaust, including saying that Jewish people refused to debate the subject because they would be exposed as liars.

Angela Clarke (Bradford). Resigned from the council less than half-way through her term after her performance was criticised by fellow BNP members.

Terry Farr (Epping). Was suspended by the Standards Board after writing abusive letters. The hearing also said that it was fair political comment for a rival candidate to call the BNP Nazi.

Ramon Johns (Broxbourne). Was elected on the promise to campaign for free bus passes for all the elderly but then immediately voted against such a plan once elected.

James Lloyd (Sandwell). Campaigned on a ticket to make parents responsible for the crimes of their children. What he failed to tell voters was that his own son was one of the areas worst offenders. Also recently put out BNP leaflets claiming a local library building was going to become a mosque. When it was proved that this was a lie he did not apologise but simply claimed that somebody had obviously made up quotes from him.

Adrian Marsden (Calderdale). The absent councillor. In the six months to March 2006, Marsden has attended just three council meetings and his work record for his ward constituents has been even worse. However, he managed to find the time and strength to act as a bodyguard to BNP leader Nick Griffin during the recent court case in Leeds. But then again, what can you expect from a man with several convictions and a long history with the violent neo-nazi group Combat 18.

Geoffrey Wallace (Calderdale). Wallace jumped ship from the Tories when he thought he could not win a council seat under the blue flag but refused to call a by-election. He too stood on a ticket to help local people but his record proves he has done nothing of the kind. His recent performance in dealing with casework from local residents is truly shocking and clearly demonstrates his inability to work for local people. In the four months to February 2006 he did only 14.5 hours casework, and all but three were in the last few weeks.

Here comes the Jesus campaign...

The party said it was considering a national campaign, with a spokesman confirming "one or two" billboards were already up.

The poster quotes from John 15:20 "If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you" and asks the question "What would Jesus do?"

The disclosure comes after the Church of England voted last month to ban clergy and some lay members from joining the BNP.

The BNP has also been condemned on several occasions by senior figures in the Church.

A spokesman for the BNP said: "We are putting them up there in response to the way the Church has attacked us. We believe we are being persecuted and turned into martyrs."

The latest attack on the BNP came from the Rt Rev Nigel McCulloch, Bishop of Manchester, who accused the party last week of preaching a message of "division and hatred" and urged people not to vote for them in the European elections on June 4.

Spokesmen for the Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu and for the Church of England refused to comment saying the BNP was mounting a "publicity stunt" designed to give the party the "oxygen of publicity".

Jonathan Bartley, co-director of the Christian think tank Ekklesia, said: "Jesus was completely opposed to bigotry.

"He is recorded in the Gospels as challenging those who didn't welcome foreigners - not as working for their exclusion."

Now I ask the BNP voters on here... why are you voting for them? seriously?

Why does it matter?

People know what the BNP are like so this is hardly anything new. If people are racist, then so called revelations like these will not bother them and they'll vote for them regardless.

Im sure given the time I could find a list of 20 members of every party who have been guilty of criminal offences or lying. Easily. Heres one- Labour party- We will have a referendum . Its politics they are all a joke.

The Labour party haven't been out filming people daring to leaflet for opposition parties or spread anti-hate messages though have they?

I don't agree with this sort of thing but that's the reason it happens.

That could have been written by any of the political parties as I'm sure they must have similar guidelines about 'toeing the line'.

That's not to defend the BNP.

I agree but I don't think the criminal offences would be GBH, arson, bomb-making, possesion of heroin and inciting racial hatred. If fraud or whatever is a lesser crime than those is subjective I guess.

The views of a BNP Councillor:

'Rape is simply sex. Women enjoy sex, so rape cannot be such a terrible physical ordeal. To suggest that rape, when conducted without violence, is a serious crime is like suggesting that force feeding a woman chocolate cake is a heinous offence. A woman would be more inconvenienced by having her handbag snatched'.

Eriksen obviously hates women. In another article the following day he wrote: 'Men are more intelligent than women-it's a fact. Let's be proud of it, let's celebrate it, let's take advantage of it, and let's not tolerate women who seek to deny it'.

Rest of it.

We got a UAF leaflet through our door the other day with that quote in it. Anyone who voted BNP should be thoroughly ashamed.

Bullshit.

In the other thread Matt has just said without reading these boards he wouldn't have known how extreme the BNP are and may have actually voted for them.

If YOU don't like it then don't read it but the worst possible thing would be that misinformed people carry on in their own ignorance without the truth being told to them.

Get over it - nothing should stop the facts coming out.

The BNP have racist policies. They wish to deport everyone who is not white.

If you vote for the BNP - you are either VERY stupid and don't understand their manifesto or you are a bigotted racist.

and if anyone had bothered to read my post i said that i had voted for the BNP in the past

but oh no lets all shoot the BNP racist out of the water. All i was saying is that people should make their own minds up who they vote for and not be bombarded with facts and figures as to how bad a certain party is.

People vote for a parties POLICIES not the parties members

But the policies are inherently racist, do you not understand that? Are we not being clear enough? The facts and the figures are what you are voting for.

I'm not stupid enough to vote for a party I don't fully understand and I'm not bigotted enough to believe everyone who isn't white should be sent back home to the country that started their genepool, for sure.

Speaking of genepools, if you're really that interested in the development of the human race - you might want to consider 'the op' and do us all a favour.

they may be but as i said before i HAD voted for them in the past i voted conservative yesterday.

am i now going to be shot down for voting conservative ?

No. What I'm saying to you is that the BNP are a racist party, to vote for them is a racist action.

You either knew that when you voted for them and hence your claim to be "not a racist, sexist bigot" is laughable or you - like many young, stupid people voting for the BNP - voted for them out of ignorance.

In which case people definitely should be "bombarded with facts" about who they're voting for. You can't seriously expect to vote without knowing what you're voting for. People SHOULD be educated. We're not telling them who to vote for, we just want to make sure people understand exactly who it is they're backing because it's too late once they're in power.

A lot of people aren't racist - but a lot of people are angry and disillusioned by mainstream politics and don't quite understand what the BNP are. A lot of thoes people can be coaxed into believing that the BNP have the common working man in mind and that we should stick together, this is a joke. The BNP are making sure that the "common working man" is kept down. Parties like the BNP, who are un-coincidentally led by a well-to-do, Oxbridge educated member of the middle class, divide the working classes and keep them from any sense of unification against the genuine evils of this country. Which isn't immigrants and assylum seekers but corruption in our system, see the recent claims scandals in which EVERY party was guilty.

That sounds like it's come straight out of Das Kapital.

(note I'm not disagreeing with you, just enjoying your Marxist style turn of phrase!)
