Corky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 For the left-wing foxestalkers like corky & finnegan:Give me one good argument in favour of immigration - especially mass immigration and tell me how it benefits our country. Left-wing? Don't talk shit. I just don't want this racist organisation anywhere near power in this country. It goes further than just immigration, as Finners has said several times.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 BNP got over 600 votes over here and came in 2nd in the locals, actually quite worried by this.
Mort Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 We kept the BNP out everywhere in North West Leicestershire except Coalville - we had hoped we'd just pipped them but they won by 83 votes Suppose it was too much to hope that we might elect a Tory for Coalville, but we came bloody close, just a shame we lost to the BNP, would rather have lost to the Labour bloke who's been an outstanding local councillor - having said that we romped it over the others in Whitwick, Ibstock and Measham!

As much as I dislike and disagree with the Tories, I wish they would won Coalville, it may only be one seat but it's a pretty disastrous result that BNP got so many votes there.
purpleronnie Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I just want to sit all those BNP voters down and just ask them why?
Corky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I just want to sit all those BNP voters down and just ask them why? It seems, according to their supporters on here, they'll turn the country around and solve the problems we face.
C-man Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 The only 'justification' I can see is: 'We can vote for whoever we want'
Ultra Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 We kept the BNP out everywhere in North West Leicestershire except Coalville - we had hoped we'd just pipped them but they won by 83 votes Suppose it was too much to hope that we might elect a Tory for Coalville, but we came bloody close, just a shame we lost to the BNP, would rather have lost to the Labour bloke who's been an outstanding local councillor - having said that we romped it over the others in Whitwick, Ibstock and Measham! Very divided area. The scum won with only 27% of the vote. It has to be said, though, that the candidate is already a district councillor for part of the ward and in that role, he has obviously earned the respect of his constituents. The Labour organisation in the town is appallingly weak. Another ward, which my late father once held with a 1000+ majority, was lost to the LibDems. It looks inevitable that the NW Leics seat will go Tory next year, and may stay that way for some time to come.
Ultra Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 The only 'justification' I can see is:'We can vote for whoever we want' Despite what some may tell you (hi Thracian), Britain remains a democracy after 12 years of a Labour government. I very much doubt whether the same would be true after 12 months of a BNP government.
purpleronnie Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I actually know a member of the bnp and she goes leafleting around coalville, it seems they have targeted that area. I tried not to get into a discussion about the BNP when I was in england but I did once and despite her being quite intelligent (well you know for a bnp member) she really had all her facts wrong and I just feel if the bnp voters really knew what would happen if we stopped immigration and various other policies we have in place they wouldnt vote BNP. But on the other hand maybe they would, maybe they dont care about the economy collapsing as long as its white people who are making it collapse.
Red Leicester Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 A lot of votes for the BNP are just coming from people who know fook all about politics . Why stop there? People who vote BNP frequently have trouble trying to work out why they can't vote when watching repeats on BBC iPlayer. Most of them are the kind of people who struggled to make it to 16 before leaving school and the rest were chubby, greasy-haired twats who were despised by everyone else in their class and grew up developing a vast inferiority complex; loads of them are repressed homosexuals trying to deny their true sexuality by vilifying those who are totally at ease with who they are. People who are in or support the BNP worship at the alter of the Happy Shopper of political parties, (Asian link notwithstanding). It's cheap, appeals to the lowest common denominator and attracts shit-loving flies. Look at the ****brains who have openly fessed up to supporting them, whether it be real or for a "joke" - none of them seem to be able to conjugate a single coherent thought between the lot of them. It is the politics of envy, the politics of ignorance and the politics of hate: I'd pity them were it not for the venom they dump on people I'm related to, friends with and those I look up to and admire. But, importantly, they will never win the day in this country - far too many of us remember history and are prepared to defend our childrens' future.

I'm sure somebody will disagree and end up calling you a left-wing PC twat though.

While most if not all of the above is undoubtedly true, vilification alone is not enough. They're the political equivalent of Millllllllllllllllll. So they won't give a toss if others despise them. Other parties have to raise their game and regain their credibility, through promoting credible policies and delivering positive change to the public. Oh, and bombing out the greedy fcukwits with their hands in the till, as well.

Corky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Well I'll vote Tory anyway but BNP are quite appealing because:I'm 16 who is currently taking his GCSE exams and has chosen A-levels. When I leave full time education I will need a job. Because of the recession unemployment is high and jobs are few and far between with dozens applying for the same job. Because of vast immigration there are hardly no jobs available. BNP will oppose immigration. = More jobs available for teens like me when we need them. I take it you've not chosen Religious Studies?

So they won't give a toss if others despise them.Other parties have to raise their game and regain their credibility, through promoting credible policies and delivering positive change to the public. They can't: The Labour party has done nothing to arrest its embarrassing decline. It has allowed itself to lie about policy, mislead the electorate, go into a phony war, be complicit in war crimes, over-burden the State with inefficient money-wasting enterprises, surfing on the back of a global boom while ideas stagnate. I don't believe for a second that anything will change ~ let's cop some historical philosophy: plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. This is history repeating, this is the decline of the Tories all over again; the arrogance of power, the contempt of the electorate - and in the process, the far-right giving succour of the ignorant. This is beyond party lines, it demonstrates the futile nature of our electoral process and current inter-party bickering. You all get wrapped up in your self-importance and lose sight of the big picture - and you all do it again and again and again. Year in year out. I have never despised mainstream politics and politicians more. I blame every damn one of you for every damn vote the BNP receives.

CosbehFox Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Im sure given the time I could find a list of 20 members of every party who have been guilty of criminal offences or lying. Easily. Heres one- Labour party- We will have a referendum . Its politics they are all a joke. But come a record with such a rash and serious display of criminal offences. Child sex, murder and plan to bomb a place of worship all included....stick em in jail without bail. Well I'll vote Tory anyway but BNP are quite appealing because:I'm 16 who is currently taking his GCSE exams and has chosen A-levels. When I leave full time education I will need a job. Sparky was spot on by the way...I didn't vote yesterday because I didn't have a clear indicator in my mind and I wasn't clued up on any of the policies in relation to this election. Given it was my first chance to vote, I will make the effort next time.

I've done a lot of work on the pros and cons of immigration, multiculturalism etc and whilst it's easy to think that immigration simply means less jobs for British people, this isn't really the case at all, or at least there are two sides to the argument. Many migrants do shiv work in which the majority British people would refuse to do and plenty of migrants have better skills than some British people, so you really can't complain when we have better doctors etc in this country? Also, a lot of people moan that job markets such as decorating have been taken over by immigrants just because of their cheaper labour, but again in reality, maybe they are just better at the job!?

David Guiza Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 The amount of facebook status's and public hearsay about BNP makes me sick at times. For a start half the people who talk about it don't even know what the hell the BNP stand for other then pure racism.
Guest Bilo Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 A sad day for Leicestershire. In a weird kind of way, it could be a blessing in disguise to see the odd BNP councillor slip through the net so the dicks who vote for them can see how useless they really are and how little they do for their constituents, a fact Ian C pointed out at the beginning of the thread. They get to see first hand that the BNP stand for nobody but themselves and others with the same bigoted views, and fulfill none of the promises they offer while trying to get elected. If decent people can't persuade ignorant voters about the hateful nature of the BNP, then perhaps four years of a waste of a space councillor (as the vast majority of BNP councillors have turned out to be) will dissuade them from voting for the twunts again. EDIT: Most importantly, their failures in council seats will ultimately destroy any hopes they have of people trusting them enough to vote a BNP candidate into Parliament. I certainly don't want to see a single seat in Westminster sullied by the hateful presence of a BNP MP.
Red Leicester Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 ...which you are. It's not good enough to stand idly by on the sidelines, any more than it was 65 years ago. It's not good enough to stand by while your party spins lies and deceit, trying to spin blame onto the opposition (just as they do onto your party) playing out the same old pre-pubescent political game. ...which you are.
