I feel a bit sorry for Craig Bellamy, what choice will he be if they do get Tevez and Eto'o?

I don't, hes a twat.

Mark Hughes is living real life football manager with Man City, bet hes loving it.

Finners will be claiming them 2 as welsh if you put it like that :D

Hahahahahahaha!! Barry Ireland, that's superb.

They have to play together. Surely. Barry Island, fabulous, possibly the tackiest place on Earth. lol

Obviously I'm going to have a bit of bias but in all fairnes Bellers has matured a lot as a person and as a player in the last few years, Hughes has done wonders for him.

Don't think I feel sorry for him, though, he's a bit of a mercenary. If they sell him he'll just happily go to club number 3792379532 and keep on being Bellers. Wouldn't surprise me if he just sits there earning the cash, though. He'll get games.

He'll get games as a sub. He'll be happy picking up his 50k a week I'm sure, but definately way down the pecking order. they need a big name sgning CB. If they ended up with Eto/Tevez/Robinho then they could be some force next season going forward

Well i guess i don't feel too sorry for him.

I mean, i'm sure he gets alot more money than i do for doing nothing.

Think Onouha could still well have a place in that defence but apart from that.....

I really wanted to put onouha in that team but I thought a lot of people would disagree.... however im thinking they will sign someone like rafinha in the right back position.

No room for SWP?

I'd definatley put him in my team out of the options.

You honestly think SWP is in the same class as Tevez, E'too and Robinho? If City pull off these signings then SWP and Bellamy will be seeing a lot of bench time this season, although Bellamy has shown he is more useful to a top class club.

I'd also like to say that people should not put Richards as a centre back. He is a right back, played very badly in the centre at the start of the season.

To be used as a right winger..

They wont have a right winger in my opinion if those two sign itll be very much the barcelona style three up front rotating tactic, and they will be properly upfront not scratching around on the wings.

Yeah i guess if you have that amount of quality strikers it would be a shame to leave them out, and i wouldn't have thought they'd want to be left out.

But I still rate SWP very highly.

By rotating i meant swap from left to right to centre.... not rotating in and out of the team ;) .... sorry I should of made that clearer...

Nah understood what you were saying.

It's just if i was Mark Hughes i wouldn't buy so many strikers.

Looks like the Eto'o deal is very unlikely now :)

But if they get a couple more quality defenders then they may be looking at a top 6 finish ;)

The Eto'o saga proves they just don't have the pulling power to challenge the top 4 seriously. They will do alright though, top 8 finish.

IMO them and Real Madrid are on the verge of ruining football.

The truth.

A few folk will be lovin it though.

I think it will go all wrong for Man City with maybe 8th place which will be a massive failure after all they have spent.

As for Eto'O the respect he had with most football fans has gone. 200k a week not enough, he says he won't leave Barca unless they pay him half the transfer fee (if the papers are correct). **** off to Hollywood with that attitude. You'll fit in there brother

If you can exlain how Man Utd spending tens of Millions every season for the last 10 years is somehow ok but Man City playing catchup in 2 seasons is not I will listening willingly.

Samuel Eto would be an idiot to turn down the money hes apparantly being offered.

I don't think he's turned down what Man City are offering. :dunno: From what I've read he's accepting that, but is demanding half of the transfer fee from Barca or saying he'll stay and leave for free in a year. Pure greed with no thought of the football whatsoever. (if it's true)

I didn't say either were wrong (only the player is wrong if the rumours are true). I just agreed that City and Real are on the verge of ruining football for ordinary clubs.

Yes United have spent lots but City are taking it to a whole new level which is not good for most of us. Surely that's obvious.

I think the difference is that Man U can support their level of spending through future revenues.

I also have never said how United went about things was right. For years I have said that there should be a wage cap of around 5k for many reasons that I think most football fans understand. I have also said many times that because of the way football is heading that I wish someone would start a breakaway league that has wage caps. There would be hundreds of quality players willing to play in it who are only driven by the will to play football, and not for money or glory.

A real football league for old school fans and players. Our grounds have been watered down for years and our players are becoming more like showbiz pansies who wear 2 pairs of shades while cruising the streets in there drop top :D

If very rich people are willing to gamble their money on their club gettng a piece of the big Champions league money then let them. I see no reason why a clubs spending should be any way linked to their income. Why should how many shirts you can sell drive your playing budget? Good marketing has sod all to do with football, so why even bother trying to make a link?
