So we have a full line up of league fixtures mid week and no highlights show :dunno:

Didn't they put one together last time even though it wasn't listed or am I imagining things?

You're imagining it. No need to fret, it'll be online on the BBC website a day after the game anyway.

Still I can't see why they don't put a mid week show on. Tuesday night would obviously be pushing it due to editing etc of all the games but still sky have goals up pretty sharpish.

Easy solution would put one on late on wednesday as they would do with motd if prem games get played mid week.

I thought the beeb were supposed to be turning a new leaf with this show.

Any potential audience this week will be shattered by Champions League coverage. Editing will be too tight for the Tuesday and Wednesday, it would compete against ITV's CL coverage. That said, nothing wrong with doing an edition for BBC3 or something similar.

Im guessing editing of that many games from three different leagues would be pushing it for a Tuesday night but I don't see the problem on the Wednesday night considering they have a show already on Saturday night after the afternoons games.

It may be competing with cl coverage but I can assure you the fans of the league clubs would rather watch there teams than the 100 replays of the cl goals they will show on ssn. Saying that I bet the sheer amount of Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool fans unfortunately out weighs this.

Indeed. there are way too many tossers in this world for anyone to get what the want, even if a large section of the population want it as well

So when do highlights/goals go up on the bbc?

I would think at least until after they've been aired on the local tv news programmes.

I saw the goal on ssn but was wondering if they do a few minutes of highlights of the game and not just the goal?

Sky only tend to show the goals, the BBC must be aware that not everyone has access to sky so would boost their local news viewing figures even then they pretty much just show the goals. The online stuff usually contains more.

Highlights on the bbc website now. Weale won't be best pleased.

Not happy with the goal either (as ridiculous as it sounds). It took so long for the ball to get to Dyer and his finish shouldn't have needed a deflection

Yeah Oakley held on to the ball for slightly too long and then passed the ball directly at Dyer's feet rather than in front of him. I'll take it a scrappy goal like that though, we've conceded far too many of them ourselves over the years.

People are not seriously complaining about the way we scored??;)

Bloody perfectionists :D

Personally after a 320 odd mile round trip etc I couldnt care less how we scored..... it made it all worth while :D

i'm just sayin that Dyer should've had the ball a lot earlier! most defences would've got back in time.

The M69 derby and its right down the pecking order :o

I'll be checking iPlayer though for the exact moment that the BBC intervier filled his pants whilst interviewing Roy Keane. All of a sudden he didn't feel so brave....

You could almost hear the interviewer trying to gulp, even though his throat had just taken on Sahara type aridness...

If you don't know the meaning of the phrase "If looks could kill" check out Keane's eyes, had the interviewer stood there a few seconds longer Keane would have vapourised him with some sort of superhero lazerbolt from his eyes. Or just given him the Alf Inge Haaalaaand treatment.

On another note, it was good to see minnows like Leeds getting top billing, though. Congrats to the Beeb for that. :D
