Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 They always did. Yes, but not before the Championship had been shown on ITV, but that doesnt apply any more for the FLS.
lildave3 Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 Yes, but not before the Championship had been shown on ITV, but that doesnt apply any more for the FLS. They did. They've always shown football league goals on a Saturday.
dandannieldanok Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 They did. They've always shown football league goals on a Saturday. Yep they definitely did, came on about 8/9pm on the Saturday.
Alexikokopops Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 The programme isn't anything to write home about (still better than ITV), but the highlights all over the BBC Sport website are brilliant.
davieG Posted 19 August 2009 Author Posted 19 August 2009 From the Mirror. Why BBC1's Football League Show missed the point of Leicester's draw at Ipswich By Ian Winwood Last modified 05:59 19/08/09 Link - http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/co...icle121379.html Week two of the Football League season and the second week of BBC1’s Football League Show. More goals, more bias. Bias toward what, you might not be asking? Well, you didn’t need to ask: toward fame and toward glamour. One of the highlighted matches on Saturday night’s programme featured Ipswich Town’s goalless draw with Leicester City. Needless to say, the emphasis was on the Suffolk side. So much so that it was as if the East Midlands club – whose manager wasn’t even interviewed after the game – didn’t actually exist, and hadn’t bothered to make the journey to play the game at all. Why should this be? Ipswich Town are at present an unremarkable Championship club. They have unremarkable support, an unremarkable stadium, unremarkable pies served at that stadium. Oh, here it is: they have a manager, Roy Keane, who the folks at the BBC like to think is remarkable. But, really, he is not, at least not yet. If this sounds like an insult, I promise you it is not meant to. The Championship is full of unremarkable sides who play in unremarkable towns. I support one (Barnsley) and maybe you do too. In fact, I would go so far as to say that this unremarkable quality is the secret ingredient of the league’s appeal. I’ve said it once, but here it is again: In the Championship, two sides face each other and both has a chance of winning. That is what sets is apart from most Premier League games. And I hope that no amount of ‘glamourous’ managerial appointments will change that fact. Since the BBC lacked the courtesy to say this, I’ll say it: well done Leicester for your hard earned point.

Roy Keane FC 1 - 0 BBC Lost 3-1 last night as well. Roy the Boy is already 'accepting full responsibility' Won't be long before he walks out in a huff then
The Doctor Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 has anyone found our badge on the glass yet between hartlepool and walsall behind manish's left shoulder, just above the yeovil badge, diagonally up and right of florists and down and right of derby's.
leicesterfox86 Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 The programme isn't anything to write home about (still better than ITV), but the highlights all over the BBC Sport website are brilliant. This is the biggest change yea. You can watch all of the highlights online and this is superb. Beats having to get up early and watch them on the Championship or subscribing to the club website. Might not be as good when / if we start losing though..!
lildave3 Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 'No wonder Filbert is a happy fox...' And they show bloody Dennis! Shambles!
Tilley Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 "No wonder Filbert is a happy fox" *show clip of Dennis* Haha. Great minds think alike Ben.
lavrentis Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Something odd about this show. Cant grasp what though.
Budweiser Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Hume's chance was offside. They didn't mention this, bastards.
Koke Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Sexy ball by Wellens and exquisite touch and finish by Fryatt.
lcfc_jme Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 I noticed the cock-up by mentioning the wrong fox, also. Shambolic. Great finish by Matthew, he'd never have done that 2 seasons back. Quality save to keep us in the game as well just prior to Golden Boy playing rugby.
Benji Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Something odd about this show. Cant grasp what though. I think it's just very amateur-ish. Claridge god love him isn't a public speaker and the emails/texts bit is cringeworthy. But the main point of the show is the highlights and absent adverts you see a lot more than on the ITV show.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Just saw my self on telly *Wasnt the kid with dennis * Was in the clip when they shown west stand
Brainy Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 The end where they all come together for a chat makes me cringe.
Ozwin Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Not showing the right 'Filbert' was an absolute travesty. The BBCs meant to be full of City fans ffs!
Guest Mee-9 Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 The BBCs meant to be full of City fans ffs! Bet you can guess, why
00rawat Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Does anyone think the beeb will screen a live city game?
