Corky Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 I hope the "fans speak" bit goes. Wastes time, could show more action.
marbelladave Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 I hope the "fans speak" bit goes. Wastes time, could show more action. No can do! The duration of the highlights shown are strictly limited by the BBC contract, hence the e-mails/texts and other filler. Shame. Only way we will see more of Leicester matches is if we are challenging for promotion, possible but not likely.
Daggers Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Something odd about this show. Cant grasp what though. It doesn't have any atmosphere in the studio, Claridge is thick and the presenters can't work without scripts. And Bint's ability to read an email makes Bob Wilson look like a presenting God in hindsight.
Alexikokopops Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 'No wonder Filbert is a happy fox...'And they show bloody Dennis! Shambles! I noticed that Ridiculous Joke of a show. It is a bit of a shambles, but at least they show all the goals! They missed half of the lower league ones off on ITV if I remember right!
Guest Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 And Bint's ability to read an email makes Bob Wilson look like a presenting God in hindsight. You should hear her commentary skills. I'm all for equal rights, but she gives us women a bad name.

We have radio phone-ins, pubs and Internet messageboards to hear what fans have to say.
Daggers Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 I still would... I suspect you'd do Johnny Vegas if the lighting was subdued and you'd had one shandy too many.
marbelladave Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Couldn't they just cut the length of the show in that case?We have radio phone-ins, pubs and Internet messageboards to hear what fans have to say. Too simple. Just showing the highlights does not give BBC to show off all the pundits it spends our money on, neither does it give the overpaid production staff the opportunity to show us their undoubted artistic tendencies. Scarily they believe that these things are important in a football highlights show!
lavrentis Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Does anyone think the beeb will screen a live city game? Is Newcastle away live on the BBC?
StanSP Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Is Newcastle away live on the BBC? I thought this. But my bro said it was on Sky.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Is Newcastle away live on the BBC? Sky mate
Ford Super Sunday Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 No, that's live on British Sky Boradcasting The first 4 games have been announced, and, frankly, they're crap (of course, WBA-Newcastle has been played) If we carry on playing like we have done so far, they can't ignore us, and we should get shown, but that's just being optimistic

Think last few games we had on TV were draws. I could be wrong though. I'd also not like Pearson to get manager of the month. Don't want that curse to strike. The first game next month is Holloway returning to us with Blackpool....
Brainy Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Mark Clemit's face makes me laugh The less attractive one is on the emails too.
Guest Bilo Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 That was seriously fucking stupid from Nathan Tyson. Obviously passions can boil over at local derbies but after what happened in mid-week, he can't complain if the FA charge him for his actions. And the embarrassing spectacle of Forest fans Daggering makes me even more glad we've dropped it.

I think the last three games were 2-0 against Yeovil, 0-0 against Oldham and 1-0 against Leeds. We even play well on Sky under Pearson.
Ozwin Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Tom Cleverly is awesome, we should have got him back on loan.
Unabomber Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Tom Cleverly is awesome, we should have got him back on loan. But who would you drop to play him? Imo although he is a good player we don't need him.
lildave3 Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 She's a brave girl isn't she, sticking her neck out on the promotion favourites who have won 7 games in a row to go up.
