Tevez Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Eto and 45m Euro's + Hleb on a year loan. Good work Jose! Zlatan, you've got a lot to prove.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Would take Eto'o over Ibrahimovic anyday as it is, give me 45 million Euros, and a half decent player as well, and I'd be curling them out all the way to the bank.
Samilktray Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 I couldnt adam and eve it was true when I first saw it.

Amazing deal for Inter, never rated Ibrahimovic tbh and theres few better around than Eto'o and 45m would have topped any fee paid but for Real's antics.
Samilktray Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Enoch Showumni > Marc Antoine Fortune > Eto'o > Benzema > Ibra > Kaka > Delph > Ronaldo > Crouch > Rafa Benitez.
lildave3 Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Perfect. A **** of a player going to a **** of a club. Anybody robbing Barcelona blind gets my respect.
lcfc_jme Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Ludicrous business and pitiful naivety from Pep in the transfer window tbh. Ibra is a tall Shevchenko. Give me Bogdan Stancu and Daniele Vantaggiato any day of the week.

Radovan's Caravan Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Greatest deal ever from Inter's perspective. Masterful 'long firm' by Mourinho. Poll ten coaches and nine would say Eto'o. And no, it's not Zlatan's ethnic origins that bothers me. It's just that I have never seen him run. He always seems rooted to the spot. Must be some variant of Motor Neurone's.
Tevez Posted 28 July 2009 Author Posted 28 July 2009 Give me Bogdan the famous trickshot pool/snooker player. Radovan's Caravan, you heard of him 'bruv'?
Radovan's Caravan Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Give me Bogdan the famous trickshot pool/snooker player. Radovan's Caravan, you heard of him 'bruv'? [/quote er no. Is Bogdan his Christian name or his surname?
Fox92 Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 I think that Pepe Guardiola is a great manager and obviousley one of the greatest' former footballers. He plays the game how it should be played, and how he used to play it himself, fast flowing football. - its great to watch. But on this transfer, I think I would rather have Eto. Don't get me wrong Zlatan Ibrahamavic is a fantastic striker but 45million euroes???? Nice work by Jose again but I don't rate Alex Hleb and don't like him either.
AjcW Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 I think Pepe Guardiola is an arrogant twat. Ludicrous business and pitiful naivety from Pep in the transfer window tbh. Come off it, anyone with an ounce of football knowledge knows that spanish managers have nothing to do with transfers. The people the barca haters need to be aiming their abuse at are the presidents and directors of football. Btw is this technically the new world record signing if u add the value of etoo to the transfer fee?? As a barca fan ill admit is a mental deal.. because of the PRICE... I am however perfectly happy with the deal in terms of players.
Darkzzz_ Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 The deal does make me sick, nearly as sick as people basing their opinion on a player they have seen play a few times in the CL via Skysports no doubt. I have seen him on fire for Inter and Juve BUT the majority of the time he does go missing and as someone else pointed out, his movement is pretty shocking at times, there is no doubt he has talent though. The shocking deal aside, I do actually think he will be a hit at Barca, I just need time to mourn the goal machine that is Eto'o. Inter have definitely got a much needed player to now take them onto that next level, that level being the (potential) CL winners.
AyewJoking Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Ibrahimovic is sooo overrated. Barca have more money than sense.
Jon the Hat Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Barca clearly value Etoo at very little. If you figure they would only have made abotu £10m on the Citeh deal, or lost him for nothing in a year, then he is just a stick to leverage the deal they wanted. Not like they were both happy and on long term deals. Hleb is obviously surplus to requirements too.

Speaking as someone that has seen him play, a little for Ajax too, I'd say he definately does have the talent. He has an incredible amount of talent tbf, but you really do have to question his application and his attitude. He totally believes his own hype, and it's way beyond just being self confident, it's ridiculous. I just can't see what he'll give Barca that Eto'o doesn't.
