Fox92 Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 6 Wins against Swansea and Barnsley. And lossess at Sheffield United, Ipswich and Newcastle.
carterfox90 Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 10 POINTS WILL SETTLE US INTO THE SEASON NICELY
The Padster Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Hmmm 5 league matches, 2 home 3 away, 1 against a premiership relegation side 1 against a side pushing for auto promotion last year 2 against two top half finishers and then barnsley I reckon 7-8 points is respectable although i really so hope for more i think this will be a decent start to the season.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 10 Draw V Newcastle Lose V Sheff Utd Win the rest
Head Honcho Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 7 or 8 for me. So whatever we get at Newcastle is a bonus
THE MAGICIAN Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 My predictions.Swansea: 3-0 win. Ipswich: 1-1 draw. Sheffield United. 1-1 draw. Barnsley: 2-0 win. Newcastle: 2-1 win. 11 points. And in dream land So far so good, COME ON CITY.....
Fox92 Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 6Wins against Swansea and Barnsley. And lossess at Sheffield United, Ipswich and Newcastle. Well, I am way off but actually very pleased to the way we have started. As long as we win our home matches which, so far, we have done and get a point at the harder away games like Sheffield United, Ipswich, Newcastle, Middlesborough etc and get three points at the less harder away games like Barnsley, Doncaster, S****horpe etc we should be fine this season. There is no doubt that we can do well this year, I think this may be our best chance for promotion in a long time, and I think this season is our only chance to be honest (like it was MK Dons' last season in League 1) I'd take one point at St. James' Park and I will be pleased to the way we have started this season. Swansea - 3 Ipswich - 1 Sheffield United - 1 Barnsley - 3 Newcastle - ? So, in total 8 points so far which is excellent and far better than what I put because I thought that we'd get hammered at Bramall Lane and Portman Road (and St. James' but we haven't played there yet). To be honest though, we should have won at Ipswich and Sheffield United because we had chance after chance after chance. Overall, pleased so far. Lets hope that the next few months we can do something. If we are around the play offs at christmas then I will seriousley be thinking about the play offs but lets not forget this is only August, good start though
Dr The Singh Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 So whatever we get at Newcastle is a bonus You talking to yourself again, you really need to see someone about it!!
maddog Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Double figures would be the dream because at least then we would be up in the top 5 of the table But i would settle for 9 leaving us 8th ish. I still echo these statements.
Corky Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Win both home matches, pick up a couple of points away, I'd take that. Well it's gone well so far, hopefully at least another point before August is out.
