Worley Gone

City defender Harry Worley has gone on loan to League Two side Crewe Alexandra until January.

He will link up with City midfielder Aman Verma who joined the Alex on loan last week after a trial period

Signed from Chelsea after loan spells at Doncaster and Carlisle, Worley's only start, and last appearance, for City was in midfield in the landmark relegation-sealing 0-0 draw against Stoke City at the Victoria Ground.

Seems we are forming a sort of link with Crewe which I think is a good thing. They are a club recognised for developing young talent and I think they are an ideal club for our youngsters to go and learn the ropes.

Fantastic litte club, great away day last game of the season last year. Best of luck Harry and Aman.

Great.

If I could pick a club to loan players to it would be Crewe.

A nice little club who have produced some sensational players in their time.

Good look to both of our players their.

Crewe Website says they wanted a permanent transfer but had to settle for a loan, surprised NP didn't just let him go as he clearly doesn't rate him

To be honest, I didn't realise he was still with us. Oops!

You would think that even the guys at the OS would know its not the Victoria Ground any more!

Suprised he hasn't moved permanately or even with the option for a permanent move in the future as he doesn't seem to be rated.

Still undecided about Worley. I've only seen him play a handful of times so it's hard to judge. Obviously Pearson sees something in him that is worth keeping and nurturing. It's good so see our yougsters (who have no immediate opportunity to get near the first team) given the ability to get football elsewhere.

Let's hope the same thing happens with Ashley Chambers.

or Crewe can't match his wages, contract issues etc I believe he is bottom of the pile really and Pearson doesn't rate him at all

I do agree with the loan bit I really can't remember that many or as many Leicester youngsters going on loan in the past as have done since Pearson took over so it can only help in the long term

Chelsea to.....Crewe

Bet he feels depressed

His situation is probably a lot better than that of most Chelsea trainees. At least he still has a chance to make a career out of football.

Who?

But seriously he couldn't have gone to a better club for developing young talent, even though I agree with another poster in that maybe we should have let him go instead of just loaning him out.

is this a wind up or has he worley worley gone out on loan?

Im guessing that was an attempt at a joke right?? :P

Played for Crewe in the starting line-up today as they beat Grimsby 4-0.

so did Verma... promising result for them but was encouraged to see players being subbed othr than our lads...
