lildave3 Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 I'm sure the linesman thinks Barry scored. EDIT - Now Redknapp has just said the same thing, what a thief.
Bert Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 City will still win. After the first few weeks off the premier league officials being good, it had to end sometime.
MC Prussian Posted 30 August 2009 Author Posted 30 August 2009 I wonder whether Portsmouth will enter the Premier League annals by being the worst team ever to have competed at that level. I just can't see them getting anything out of this season - they're weak in every single department.
AjcW Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Rubbish... Heitinga and billyatdenov(sp) on the bench for everton... Well I hope this game is more interesting than villa brum and newcastle cardiff.

How they expect 16 new signings to settle in and gel into a team that shipped out around the same ammount of players is unreal. Most of those signing were made between august 29th and september 2nd. If they were planning this sort of turn around it needed to be done early on. Theres no doubt they have signed quality players but the fact is they will take half the season to settle in, especially the ones with no premier league experience. Its the takeover that has seemingly already relegated pompy, if it was done in july they may have stood more of a chance.
nuneatonfox Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 I cannot stand Birmingham, anyway three points if Villa finish in the top 4, Leicester become champions again, & boro go up. This would make the greatest season ever, I think I would die of the shock.
maddog Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Stockdale was in goal for Fulham today. Very surprised, don't think he's a Premiership keeper. I think Wheale has played better so far for us in the Championship than Stockdale did last season in League One

He was only playing because of an injury to Schwarzer.

Well, since my original statement, two weeks have passed and thus more opportunities for Pompey to "gel" as a team. They also lost to a team as weak as them, but showed some guts by coming back twice from a deficit, so you can't just blame all the newcomers in the team. They will probably recover in a while, but it won't come easy and Pompey will go down.
Bert Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 If Pompey stay up, I will buy LD3 a hot dog at every game next season.

They have bought players with hardly any Premier League experience or Championship level players, no more. Steve Finnan sums it up really Going down!

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 September 2009 Posted 14 September 2009 It's all about Sunderland go you black cats* * Please note this comment is heavily weighted by my back pocket.
Uncle Albert Posted 14 September 2009 Posted 14 September 2009 Adebayor is a twat, that stamp is awful and he should face a ban especially with what the F.A said about dangerous tackles will recieve lengthy bans, disgusting. Hope the dick breaks his leg and never plays again.

I think Wheale has played better so far for us in the Championship than Stockdale did last season in League One I thought Stockdale was great last season and I would have took him this season again. Plus, Schwarzer(sp) is injured so who are they going to play in goal if he isn't a Premiership goalkeeper?
Edmund Posted 14 September 2009 Posted 14 September 2009 Stockdale was in goal for Fulham today.Very surprised, don't think he's a Premiership keeper. He had a good game didn't he?
dogadug Posted 14 September 2009 Posted 14 September 2009 He had a good game didn't he? Didn't do anything wrong
leicesterfox86 Posted 14 September 2009 Posted 14 September 2009 If Pompey stay up, I will buy LD3 a hot dog at every game next season. I can see where you are coming from here to be honest, they have such a poor squad compared to previous years. They have basically signed players this summer in preparation for going down! So many average players in this list!
StanSP Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 Burnley 1-0 Sunderland. Anton Ferdinand brings dowe Wade Elliott in the box and Gary Alexander slots the ball in.
Budweiser Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 Burnley 1-0 Sunderland.Anton Ferdinand brings dowe Wade Elliott in the box and Gary Alexander slots the ball in. Very casual penalty.
StanSP Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 1-1 now. Andy Reid crosses the ball and Darren Bent slots in the equaliser.
AjcW Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 Great goal from nugent. Can it get any worse for Portsmouth
