From the Merc

Leicester City's Liam Moore has earned his first call-up to the England under-17s set-up.

The 16-year-old defender, who lives at Sileby, will be involved in this week's FA international tournament against Portugal, Italy and Turkey.

City's Academy director Jon Rudkin said: "It's a great honour for Liam and the football club and we wish him well."

The tournament is being staged at Notts County's Meadow Lane ground, Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium and Northampton's Sixfields Stadium.

England are in action at Sixfields tomorrow night against Turkey (7.0)

Manager John Peacock said: "It will certainly be different out there, but these tournaments are all about giving our youngsters experience in the first stages of their football careers."

I have no idea about Tom's family other than his supposedly fit sister.

Very true.

Well weird that a mate is played for England, quality footballer and deserves everything he get's. Top lad.

Rawlins Community College only produces the best, Matt Piper, Billy Kee and Liam Moore.
