Samilktray Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Feel sorry for City, but if they wanna rule the world of footbal or whatever, then these are the games they need to win.
Edmund Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Youre not seriously saying Man City lost this because of Bellamy having a coin thrown at him?! Its not that uncommon (moronic yes but not uncommon) and it doesnt make teams lose. They lost fair and square. No I'm not saying that am I!! All I was saying was it had an effect on the team and is a possibility as to why the goal was scored straight after the incident. It was a major distraction. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out incidents can have a major impact on games. It's not uncommon that when a player gets stretchered off with a serious head injury that the team morale can drop. Obviously it's not the same thing but I'm just using that as an example.
Sods Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 One word pretty much sums up the night for me: ******
Corky Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 One word pretty much sums up the night for me: ****** At the ground?

Well I dont know, thats why I asked the question!
Sods Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 At the ground? Pub, jesus christ it was pathetic. Get Rooney off was the shout after he missed from 6 yards, I just hate 'that' type of fan. If your an armchair fan, stay in the fooking armchair don't come to the pub.

Don't mind watching Man Ure games with my housemate. He's got the thickest cockney accent ever but his family are originally from Salford (half City/half United), he goes to as many games as he can get to (including Euro aways) and was genuinely about to punch my laptop to bits when I started playing Blue Moon on it after Tevez's goal.
Edmund Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Well I dont know, thats why I asked the question! Oh right, fair enough

I don't usually bother to be honest, but the first leg was quite decent. Yanited fans that go to the games, especially away from home are class. I doubt I would be able to put up with the rest of them, not even watching the game some of them wern't, I can't stand going to the toilet when City are playing. ****ers the lot of them, come on Martin don't let me down.
C-man Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Quite liked those Green and Yellow LUHG scarves even though Glazer's a good man at heart.
Fosse Boy Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Quite liked those Green and Yellow LUHG scarfs even though Glazer's a good man at heart. Yeah, they seem to be catching on.
Matt Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Quite liked those Green and Yellow LUHG scarfs even though Glazer's a good man at heart. I've searched about them now, but when I first a group of fans with them I thought a bunch of Norwich daytrippers were there or summit, I soon realised when I saw the amount of people with them that this couldn't be the case, so searched and found out.

I was asked to head to our Union at 7ish, after laughing my head off and cringing at the thought I settled down with a ladbrokes slip, bag of cookies and a decent stream off Iraq goals. Might head down again for the CL when a few of us can properly get behind the foreign team like the final last year in Soar Point.
Uncle Albert Posted 28 January 2010 Author Posted 28 January 2010 Good game and really glad Rooney has over shadowed that 'Twat from Argentinaaaaa'. In away I'm glad United have gone through as I really dont want Man City to win anything this year or ever to be honest, I really dislike them as a club and some of their players. Van Der Sar's save from Richards was unreal, Redknapp made me laugh after the game when he said Given's was the best save he has ever seen, it hit him for christ sake. Fletcher, Carrick and Scholes played the best I have seen all year for Yanited, the atmosphere was pretty electric aswell. What was the deal with the yellow and green scarfs?
samlcfc Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 What was the deal with the yellow and green scarfs? I think it was protesting against the ownership. Yellow and Green is the colour they used to wear before their club was called Man U.
Fosse Boy Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 What was the deal with the yellow and green scarfs? Green and gold til they die or fold...
Simi Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Redknapp made me laugh after the game when he said Given's was the best save he has ever seen, it hit him for christ sake. Seems like your hate for Man City is shining through a little bit too much mate. Personally, I thought it was a great save and was gutted for him when Rooney scored.

I thought it was a load of Norwich fans too at one point... ha! As for the game, really enjoyed it. Thought it was everything English football is good for - pure entertainment with a bit of added aggression! Man United fans like this one have probably gone too far in their gloating though. The gap IS closing. No doubt about that. Another thought I had - Carling Cup semi-finals are normally ab entertaining two legs. Should they follow this format in the FA Cup? Instead of a one off game at a neutral ground? I think so! Make it mid-week as well. Always adds something extra.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Think your mate's days might be numbered. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...nited-City.html He should get 3-5 years for wearing one of those shit CP company jackets. What's the point in looking like you're stuck in 2006 if you aint even gunna use it to cover your face?! I think i'll cancel my order for 400 flares then.....
